In a slump...

ill make this short considering it's unlikely entertaining to read a long rant xD .. this is really more for me than for you xD .. just wanna get this out of my chest, i guess...

got a 200.5 out of 250 on my first organic test.. which, yes, is relatively bad.. i mean, sure it equates to a B still... barely, though.. 80.2... lowest grade i've ever gotten in my entire college life xD .. i need to average roughly 234/250 on the rest of the tests for me to get an A.. which is TOUGH.. and knowing it was supposed to be the easiest of all organic tests is not the least bit encouraging...

so yeah... you know.. bugs me a bit.. but early this morning today... i get a 5 out of 10 ( 6, if he's merciful...) on a physics quiz.. which there's a ton of, so it's not that much of a big deal.. but it's the first one i haven't gotten a 10 on.. and it's timing is TOO perfect.. just a day after i find out how bad i did on my organic test xD .. digs that slump a little deeper..

and then in organic lab this afternoon, i get a 48 out of 67.. which is a 71.6... barely passing.. pasang awa... i just freakin' missed one single carbon and it screws the molecular weight and all the calculations after that.. ugh xD .. it would've been fine if it was a weekly quiz... but there's only 3 in the entire semester... so i'm kinda in deep sludge xD ..

it's funny cuz some people tell me to just suck it up and do better next time xD .. sure they're right.. but what utterly annoys me is this one little thing.. the one major difference between them and i... they have a life... (haha) .. i kinda don't... school, work, and homework IS pretty much my life xD .. so i can't just settle for not getting the A i'm sacrificing my life for.. ya know what i mean? xD

sorry.. i don't mean to make it sound like it's the end of the world... and mom and dad, don't worry i'm fine.. xD .. i just feel so unsettled.. and i probably will keep feeling this way until i get myself out of this slump.. which is hopefully a good thing cuz it'll drive me to work harder.. or well... at least it should... otherwise, it's simply vexing xD

so yeah.. in summation.. .. .. i'm in a slump.. a ditch.. no biggie.. i hope.. i'll letcha know when i get out of it...

(before i start, keep reading at least till the middle.. cuz i'ma start out with sort of a superfluous intro xD ..)

organic chem took FOREVER tuesday.. pretty much NOBODY finished the lab in the 4 hours that were given xD .. so we had to go back on another day's lab to finish it up.. a lot of us came back to the next day's lab wednesday night.. we started at 6 and finished at about 8 (pretty much making it a 6 hour long lab in total xD ..) ..

but that's just a side-rant xD .. really what this entry is about is the following..

so i get back home.. have dinner and all that... get to my computer, check my email, and see an email regarding a financial aid refund (which is a good thing =) ..) .. it prompts me to check my bank account.. and when i get to it, i see two awkward transactions as follows:

CHECKCARD 01/21 GATE 1174 PONTE VEDRA B FL ...... $1.00
CHECKCARD 01/21 PUBLIX #713 ..... &85.19

both are for that same day wednesday, and i know i had not gone to publix or gate (which is a gas station) that day.. so i check my wallet and sure enough, my debit card is gone.. not only that, but my credit card is gone too -- the card which is hooked up to my mom's bank account =S

so i call bank of america, have the card blocked, tpos the person refers me to the claims department.. i file a claim, and they tell me i can get the money back =D .. so on my side it's fine.. or at least it will be once i really DO get the money back xD

but the bad part is on my mom's side.. of course, because the system is always screwed sa pinas xD it's not as easy.. they had us write a letter and all.. i had to sign it, scan it, then email it back to my mom , then she signs it before finally giving it.. so at least now we think it's ok.. but again, it'll only be fine once we actually get the money back..

so yeah that just sucked.. it got stolen either while i was at the gym or at the pool.. i've really got to get myself a lock xD .. goes to show that even america has low-life bastards xD

so yeah.. back to the title... as if that wasn't bad enough.. i got a 30 dollar parking ticket today for having an expired permit.. i mean c'mon! gimme a break xD .. i'm only having the car for a weak.. so being the pinoy i am xD i try to get away with it and just park with the old permit hoping it wouldn't be noticed and also since it's not as bad as other people who just park with absolutely no permit at all xD

un lng nmn.. just a bad day i guess.. lessons learned.. move on in life xD

today was my last final... chemistry xD .. twas pretty tough.. he gave no mercy on this test xD .. 11 problems out of 100 with no bonus points unlike the last 3 tests.. and the problems were unusually twisty xD .. but i think i did ok.. i hope xD

bought some books from a couple of friends today towards the end of the day.. buying/selling books with friends is DEFINITELY the way to go xD .. so far, i've already saved up between $150-200 bucks xD .. and i have yet to sell my calc book to another friend.. that's gonna get me another 100 dollars back ^^

today was the last day at work already too... i did the math and it turns out, if i had worked and longer than i did today, i would already be working for free xD .. so said goodbye to my boss today.. he was the best boss ever! xD .. a couple of weeks ago, (even though it was about a month late xD ..) he talkd to the other boss people in the office and they got me cake and a 25 dollar gift card ^^ ..tpos today, he gave me another 10 dollar gift card ^^ .. ayos tlga xD .. too bad he won't be there next semester though.. he and his family are moving up to ohio.. he'll be missed for sure.. he definitely makes the office a lot more livelier.. i wish he coulda stayed....

last day with caleb too.. =( .. tis gonna be a bummer having no workout buddy next semester...too bad (for me at least xD ..) he's moving to UCF.. great guy.. he was definitely one of my cool friends.. he even gave me all his old organic chem and physics tests and quizzes along with the books i bought from him so im definitely set for next semester xD .. we'll probably do something this winter break before he leaves though.. prolly use up that gift card i got from work xD

another great news too! .. because i got my residency reclassification already, my tuition is really small compared to previous semesters such that im gonna get money back =) .. i hav X amount of pending aid and a much smaller Y amount of tuition due next semester so the difference im getting back ^^ .. it can be extra money to used on anything! it can be used to pay off loan too.. it's great... i've always heard from friends that they get money back next semester from financial aid in excess.. first time this has happened to me.. nice breath of fresh air.. ^^

un lng nman.. it's great to be free... no skul worries xD .. freedom! xD

first of all, thanks sa lahat ng nag greet sakin =) .. i really appreciate it ^^ .. i know we can all be so busy, and yet you guys still remembered.. thanks =)

friday, i got done working at around 12:30.. went to the towncenter.. bought some stuff at publix (which is cguro katumbas ng puregold satin dyan xD ..) .. gave myself a toothbrush for my birthday lol.. then had lunch at a mcdonalds xD ..

then i went shopping for a pair of sunglasses (cuz the sun always gets me while im driving and such xD ..) .. ended up buying a pair of ray ban aviators B-) .. and it was a cool deal cuz they have a thing where, if u change your mind within 3 months, you can get a full return on it.. so ima try it out for a while (but im liking it so far ^^ ..) and then if i change my mind, ill exchange it for some other pair xD ..(might change my mind since my dad has a pair that's almost exactly the same xD .. goes to show our similarity in taste xD ..)

then i went to the apple store to buy me an apple accessory that'll allow me to play my ipod in the car.. i got a cassette accessory......... i know this is gonna sound reeaaally dumb xD .. but what happened was, when i got to the car, i realized it didn't even have a cassette player! LOL!! xD .. i guess i just always thought there was cuz it had a "CD Tape" button xD .. no biggie, i returned it and they gave all the money back xD

went back to school and swam ^^ ..(finally did a 1000m session! ^^ .. 20 michael-phelps-aspiring laps xD .. doesn't sound like that much but it aint as easy as u think xD ..) then went home, did chores, then went over to tita norie's place and slept over there =D

the next day, we (me, james, becca, tita norie, uncle dave, cole, tita jinky, and tito joel..) went to the Blue Angels air show in NAS Jax, Orange Park.. twas pretty cool.. bunch of planes and jets and stuff, some flying around and doing tricks and such xD .. hearing the jets was probably THE loudest thing i have ever heard in my life xD .. will post pics when i get them from my aunt's camera =D

after that, we drove back from orange park and had dinner at the towncenter.. cheesecake factory ^^ .. then tito joel and tita jinky bought both me and james some clothes at the sporting goods place.. (thanks! ^^ ..) .. went back to tita norie's, chilled, played blah3 xD

the next day (today).. went to church.. i drove becca and james since tita norie didn't come with us.. then on the way back, tita norie calls and says she was able to order guitar hero world tour at the best buy on atlantic blvd xD .. so we drove over there, got it, went home, ate super quick xD , set it up and played all day xD .. twas fun ^^ .. freakin short but fun xD

then i went to night church, then went back home.. and here i am now.. xD

Life part 3

so i guess another big thing i should mention is that IM DRIVING NOW xD

which yeah is a cool thing ^^ .. but when it started, it also kinda felt like i've been waiting for it for so long that it just kinda got spoiled by them time it happened xD .. but it's ayt.. xD

thing is though, is that i'm only driving it till grandma gets back from the phils oct 31st.. after then, i'll prolly become hatid sundo again xD .. why? cuz of money xD .. gas, car insurance, and parking is definitely something i don't have money to shell out for right now xD .. just the parking permit alone is 55 bucks.. and that's only for one term....

and yeah sure, i know i'm working and making money and can use money from work to pay for that.. BUT, kinda how it is right now is that all the money from work, i have to set aside for next semester's tuition since i'm still paying out of state rates (which is x5 the in state rates.... yeah, i know.. ouch, right? xD ..)

and that's what leads to me discussing (mostly ranting xD ..) about how i've been worrying about my residency all this time on the side.. on top of being busy enough already...

i guess i'll start from quite an early stage of this whole thing and say that at one point, we thought i really couldn't get it anymore.. the residency, that is.. and that i would really have to pay out-of-state rates throughout my entire 4 years of college.. which is why i almost started going to school back sa pinas............ (as in, we even checked out ateneo, la salle, and UP and researched on how the transferring processes are and such..)

but it didn't happen (or at least, for this year..) cuz i had enough federal aid granted to me such that abot-kaya this semester and next semester..

so the plan became: go back to jax and finish this year at UNF .. try to get the residency and hopefully be able to continue... if not, pwedeng sa pinas, pwde reng d2 pa rin pero bengga sa utang.. pero when dad researched about becoming a doctor here sa states, having graduated from the philippines, is too hard to plan on doing.. so we kinda decided that it's best to at least get my bachelor's here so that i have the choice on whether i got to med school here or not... (and yeah, prolly a lot of you didn't know that i sorta decided on wanting to become a doctor already xD ..)

anyway, so what happened was that my aunt from new york so happened to know jim owen, who is the director of the student service office here at UNF, so she was able to talk to him and ask if there's anything that could be worked out for me.. (thanks Auntie Evan! ^^ ..)

so eventually (1st week of school i think it was...), i met jim owen and we talked about it..

that first meeting, meydo na confirm nga lng tlga na ndi ku tlga makukuha ung residency.. so he suggested to just go for federal scholarships next year.. BUT, for me to be eligible for those scholarships he pointed out, i have to be a technical juinor by fall next year.. which means, i'd have to take my summer semester here already, so as to have enough credits to be technically declared a junior... ultimately, that means...... can't go home this summer T_T T_T T_T

so at some point, we sorta just accepted that fact already, but again, because i was busy, was never able to announce that....

AWESOMELY THOUGH, the same week (i think it was just the next day nga lang e xD ..) .. i just so happened to pass by one stop (the student service place) to ask about a financial hold i had on my account and surprisingly, jim owen called me into his office, and only a day later from seeing him, here we are again xD ..

he researched and it turns out that if i can get legal papers declaring my uncle and aunt as legal guardian, i could finally get my residency reclassified and finally start paying in state stuition .. (YAY! xD ..)

so that's what i've sorta been on past week or two.. getting that guardianship.. thing is, is that i only have till my birthday next month to get it, so medyo time pressured.. hindi medyo... SOBRA xD ..

past couple of days, i've been calling family law firms in jacksonville asking whether majority of the lawyers think i have enough time to get the guardianship processed, and hoping to find someone who CAN do it within the fiven time frame...

so yeah, what kind of a freakin' 17 year old is is calling up lawyers up and working for his own tuition? xD .. me, i guess... but i'm prolly not alone....

anyway.. just had to get that out of me.. xD .. been really stressin' out over that recently cuz if i don't get it, it pretty much equates to about 20-25 THOUSAND DOLLARS more in tuition i have to pay to get through the rest of my 4 year college experience xD ..

yun lang nman i guess... that's pretty much how it's been lately.. that's life i suppose xD

gotta grab dinner and get back to studying xD .. later....

Life part 2

on top of all my classes, i have work.. right now, i'm working a college work-study job at UNF hall, which is a building sort of separated from the main campus so i have to take a shuttle bus to get there everyday.. no biggie..

i basically just scan documents and index 'em into the database then file them.. that and various basic office tasks.. nothing hard, really.. and it pays pretty sweetly .. 9 bucks an hour B-) .. i have an awesome boss.. really makes you feel relaxed while working.. never any time pressure.. lenient when it comes to taking breaks.. jokes around xD .. and even lets me do homework when there's nothing to do xD .. (it's only happened twice so far though xD ..) .. AND, what's great about the job, being a school job, they are very mindful of you being a student -- so they're not so strict about what times you do your shift, and you can just call in and say "can't come in today" and they'll let you take the day off..

i've also made a couple of friends and met quite a few people.. joya, justin, josh, michelle, rahim.. without other students to work with, and thus no one to talk to xD , time can get real slow in the office so it's nice workin' workin' with them ^^

so yeah work's been pretty good..

i'm working 20 hours a week though.. and 20 hours really is a huge chunk of time that's taken off from your week if you think about it.. that's like 4 hours a day that you could be doing so many other things -- chilling, relaxing, homework -- whatever.. .. which is why i'm not as on top of some things as i know i would be.. which is also why i've been pretty busy... i work everyday till 5 starting at different times, then at 5, i workout at the gym (swim on fridays)..

so basically, a regular day would be:

classes in the morning..
lunch..
work in the afternoon till 5..
workout..
get home and eat dinner, usually ending at about 7:30..
then i pretty much only have about 3-4 hours to do homework cuz i usually sleep at around 11:30 now since i'm tired from everything during the day, especially the workout, and then i have to wake up early again the next day..

chores and hw on saturdays, church and more homework on sundays xD

so it's pretty much a full sked 24/7 -- thus the busyness.. but i guess it's not as bad as it sounds.. i think xD .. i do wish i was in touch with more of ya'z.. but i understand if we're all busy...

It's been about a month since the first day of school. But for some reason, it feels like it's been months since then -- like last semester and this semester just connected without any break in between. I guess that's how fast summer was -- that frickin' fun.

ok tama na, ndi ku na kaya idire-diretso ung 'proper' na pagsulat xD ..

anyway, just an update, i guess, on how school's been past several weeks..

it's only 3 classes but 2 of them have labs, bio and chem.. bio has been ok, lots of reading and super hateful pop quizzes xD .. the past 2 pop quizzes we took, we (and i say we cuz the quiz is taken as a group) kinda sucked cuz we were sorta caught off guard each time xD .. you tend to prioritize other things for other classes, and generally, other things in life over randomly studying biology for a quiz you never know when when it's going to happen xD .. so yeah, really didn't feel like we pwn'd those suckers xD .. tomorrow is the first big bio test -- actually even the first of the semester.. been studying big time for that....... lab is good so far though.. had a quiz today which i'm pretty sure i did good on ^^ .. and today was a cool lab too cuz we went out to our school's nature trail with a big lake and and lots of trees and vegetation and crap xD .. we collected bugs and worms and other cool things, so i thought that was kinda fun ^^ .. prolly the funnest bio lab so far xD

chem II has been the most demanding class so far.. and it slowly grows more and more notorious for being a hard class, specifically cuz of the teacher.. i know so many people who dropped the class at least once before finally finishing it xD .. medyo boring kc pakinggan ung teacher e xD .. and he goes through the lectures too fast, practically just reading his notes, saying "kow how to do this" and "know how to do that" without even explaining or going through it at all, at least once xD .. past 2 homeworks have been tough, and the second one i even had to skip lunch just to finish xD .. big chem test on tuesday, tpos 3rd chem hw due on the same day.. kinda behind on my reading for chem cuz i was busy over bio, and definitely behind on the extra credit stuff too.. gotta get back on my feet....

calc has been awesome though.. 3 quizzes so far, aced 'em all.. he teaches at a REALLY comfortable pace and practically baby's us on the quizzes.. which i hope he continues doing xD

i've announced this already in a few other places and to a few other people already, but just for the record, here goes =P

there was supposed to be a big gathering out our place sa raya the saturday of the week i got there.. but due to the following reasons, it's cancelled ...

1. the money xD .. i know it's sort of weird to say the actual amount but i don't really care so i'll say it anyway xD .. the catering and the reservation would've totalled around 30k xD .. bengga denggz.. also, with what happened to mom, nung nahospital xa, napagastos din kami.. so it's kinda tight =D

2. i don't know how many people would be able to come.. kng konti lng pmnta, edi bummer xD .. pero kng marami nmn, ayoko din kc ndi ku rin mkakamusta lahat ng maayos.. ndi lng kc school friends, pati church friends, and family, too.. it woulda been chaotic for sure..

3. pde n lng daw kau pmnta whenever ^^ .. pde mag-swim etc etc.. tska every now and then, they'll provide money para mag-order ng food or something =D .. also, provided din nila pera ko pang-labas xD .. u can think about it this way.. mas ok na ung may pera n lng aku plagi for going out kesa i-gastos lahat on one single party na iilang oras lng nmn tpos chaotic pa para sakin for sure xD

that's pretty much it.. just wanted to annuonce it d2 sa multiply para mabasa nung iba na ndi pa nkakaalam =D

BOMB THREAT AT UNF !!!

what a way to start a blog of something that seems like such a serious issue huh? xD .. seriously though, if it really happened, we'd be on CNN for sure xD xD xD

i went to school today at around 9:30 and stayed in the library, reading and studying and using the computer till about 11:30.. then i get a call from Caleb who lets me know that there's been a bomb threat over by building 2, where the bookstore is.. that's also the building that has a microwave at the 2nd floor, and i go there all the time to microwave my baon xD .. so since they closed off the the area, i had no way to eat my lunch xD .. so we decided to have lunch out.. Caleb met me at the library, together with John who goes to his bio II class and who used to go to our bio I class last semester.. ^^

we went out the library and there were people clumping in groups everywhere talking about it.. traffic went nuts, the shuttles weren't getting to their destinations, emails were being sent out, it went on the news really fast.. it was all kinda exciting, really.. xD .. thing was, we had to get on the shuttle to get to the parking lot where Caleb's car was at.. but the shuttles weren't getting to the library.. so John called up his friend and hooked us up a ride.. ^^ .. we went to the towncenter and had lunch at chik-fil-a ^^ .. then we made it back on time, i got to my chem class, lots of people were absent, still had a quiz, xD .. then come bio class time, me and Bill got there and there was hardly anybody there.. i went to the bathroom real quick, then when i got back, people were starting to leave.. somebody with a laptop had checked there email and got one from our teacher saying that class was canceled ^^ .. FIRST TIME EVER IN MY COLLEGE LIFE THAT CLASS GOT CANCELED! xD

it was so cool xD cuz nothing out of the ordinary ever happens here at UNF.. xD twas nice cuz it kinda spiced things up a bit -- off the regular, daily routine that life becomes xD .. when people ask me how things are going, i always say something like: "nothing much.. just going by life almost routinely.." xD .. so when this whole bomb threat thing happened, twas kinda fun xD .. different it what it was.. i don't know why, but i felt that from the very beginning that it wasn't a real serious threat.. which is why for the most part, i was more excited than scared.. xD .. i felt more like "man this is so cool!" than "holy crap we're gonna die!!!! =S " xD .. we were mostly just joking about it xD .. so yeah.. today was fun ^^

yun lang.. =D .. just something that doesn't happen everyday xD .. it's nice to have something different happen once in a while u know.. ^^

limewire rocks! [period] xD

erased all 800 songs from my ipod and decided to put in new stuff and must have's =D .. i decided to keep the library organized such that i'll ONLY put in FULL albums.. no single songs, no incomplete cd's =D .. FULL albums.. and so far, limewire's had everything (although at some times, it gets tough to find other tracks such as interludes and such that you'd normally only get to hear if you buy the cd's.. =D ..) .. right now, i'm about to fill it up again at 750 songs!!! ^^

i built on what was already in my library off of what tito joel had me put in his ipod.. started at about 100+ , and put in some of the cd's i have here that i brought from the phils.. so let's say about 200-250.. but the rest was from limewire... full albums.. 500 songs.. 3 days xD

how're you guys doin? =D

it's been quite a while since i've blogged.. (ok fine.. a LONG while xD ..) .. but don't worry.. nothing new.. xD

past 3 or 4 weeks have been real busy.. quizzes, tests, papers, reading, homework, and such.. (like i said, nothing new xD ..) .. but starting today, it's FINALLY SPRING BREAK!!!! ^^ weeeee xD .. which explains why i'm bloggin, since i have the time xD

hmm.. lemme think... what else........ well this one's a pretty old story for those whom i've told already, but the whole time, for about 6 or 7 or 8 weekse since the start of the semester, i was going to the wrong lab section xD .. well.. it was both mine and the teacher's fault.. my mistake was going in the wrong room that first class.. the professor's fault is that she never really took attendance so she never realized it until she started checking papers.. she was late in grading our papers (3-5 weeks late actually xD ..) which is why we found out SO late.. it started when she gave back the papers and i couldn't find mine.. i went to her and asked where my papers were.. she said it's in her office and she'll just bring it next week.. the week after, she says im not on her roster.. another week of investigation passes until finally she says im in the wrong lab section.. i check it for myself and yeah... i really was xD .. so we talked to the professor of the class next door, and we fixed it out.. no biggie really.. i've started going to the new class since last last week and it's pretty cool ^^ .. dami pinoy xD .. anim ata kami xD

in chem there's this thing our professor has called competency quizzes.. it has four units.. if you pass all four you can move on to extra credit quizzes.. there were four of us who finished it first (in two takes..) tpos it was kinda cool cuz we were called to the front that day xD .. and what's even cooler, out of the four, tatlo kaming pinoy xD .. well ok fine.. vietnamese ung isa.. close enuf xD .. (P.S. i've mistaken 3 vietnamesians as filipinos lrdy xD ..)

grades-wise everything's goin good.. i got exempted from my math midterm and i'm top of the class at the new lab section.. tests are going ok.. there are a few i'm still waiting for the results of.. as you can see, lotsa skul stuff.. it's real nice to have a break... ^^ SPRING BREAK BABY! xD

9 days of freedom xD .. prolly just gonna do a lot of chilling.. just doing whatever ^^ which i dont get to do often xD .. i might be going to a friend's house to jam ^^ sana matuloy =D .. and then starting thursday im sleepin over at my cuzin's house =D .. gonna go crazy over the new game he got for the wii xD

on a serious note, a few of ya'll might know already, but my mom got hospitalized a week or so ago.. even had surgery.. she's at home now and still recovering.. thank God she's ok =)

watching beck was such a short lived craze.. and it sucks xD .. i hate that it was such a short series! i was sad and disappointed instead watching that last episode last night.. (and yeah, if believe it or not, i watched all 26 episodes in 3 days xD ..) .. i really liked it and it made me feel like "man, i gotta get this work done fast so i can start watching agen.." xD

it was what it was.. a craze xD .. i hope to find a new craze soon...to keep me fueled up.. =D

monday was my first test of the semester.. pre-calc.. i'll have to admit, i was bucklin' a bit at first.. but when it was done, i felt pretty good about it.. ^^

got the result today.. and the score? ----- 135/100! haha xD

sounds TOO over, right? xD .. well that's what's rockin' about this class now.. ^^ .. at first, i didn't quite like the class -- the pace, and the work.. but now that i've established a good rhythm, it's all good ^^

i just realized how the whole class is all about 2 words.... EXTRA CREDIT...

what's awesome 'bout Mr. Binghi, my professor, is that he gives LOADS of extra credit opportunity -- in the assignments, in-class participation, and the tests themselves.. ^^

in fact, he gave SO much credit for this test that the highest you could possibly get (as in, if you COMPLETELY aced it) was 156! .. the highest was 140, then there was another guy who got a 137.. so i guess, i was 3rd highest.. kind of a bummer -- there was one question that was just a stupid mistake kind of thing.. but screw it! i'm definitely happy ^^

i hope Mr. Binghi wasn't just being nice to us since it was the first test.. i hope he gives a lot of extra credit on the next tests.. *fingers crossed* =D

i know it may seem a little out of the blue XD but yes...

I'M GOING TO NEW YORK!!!! ^^

it was just this week that i sorta made up my mind about it.. hati kmi ng mom n dad ku sa plane ticket -- i pay half, they pay half.. =D

it was wednesday night -- that day i made up my mind about going (i was sorta toying with the thought already for a long time after mom n dad suggested it.. -- i skyped dad and we looked for cheap tickets.. where? cheaptickets.com XD

we found a REALLY nice one -- it was cheap, non-stop, and it was delta airlines ^^ pero the complication was that we couldn't use dad's credit card because the site didn't accept a Philippine address, tpos kng ung address d2 nmn ung gagamit narerecognize nung system na ndi matching ung address tska ung card (awts noh? XD ..) .. tpos tulog na c tita jinky and tito joel.. so we said, we'll just sleep on it and if the ticket at that price was gone the next morning then it wasn't meant to be...

next morning... ala na... (nooooooooooooo XD ..) .. but we didn't lose hope.. (imagine this na bitin tulog ku, tpos i have to do all this in 15 minutes cuz i had to get ready na for work XD ..) we looked for more tickets.. eventually found one for just 20 dollars more -- pero after chaos, we lost it within 5 minutes! XD .. the next we found was 40 dollars more -- it was starting to look grim =(

until we found one for just 30 dollars more! so we took it.. we used tita jinky's credit card.. so now..... I'M BOOKED! ^^

i'm leaving jacksonville on Christmas day (ala nmn kc daw plano kaya ok lng daw.. we'll only be doing something Christmas eve) in the morning and i'll arrive at NY in the afternoon.. gonna be there till the 3rd of january.. i'm hopin' it'll be loads of fun =)

when i get back, (which is a thursday) i'll be workin' the friday and saturday.. @_@ XD .. but that's fine.. i need the money to pay off my half of the plane ticket XD

basically, my last exam for this sem was tuesday ^^

i haven't gotten my final grades for 3 of the 4 classes i took.. psych i got already though and i got an A ^^ a 99 to be exact ^^

and now the bummer part XD

3 12 and 1/2 hours work shifts since wednesday with bitin tulogs in between and super tiredness all throughout XD .. it's fine.. it's cash XD

there's this thing called "buybacks" at the bookstore and basically, what that is is that we buy books back from the students.. i set an all time record of 210 buybacks nung thursday XD .. dead serious..

basically today i did a lot of running, and basically im tired as heck XD

basically tomorrow we're watchin' a movie and basically, im sleepin' over at tita norie's ^^

basically, my amp isn't here yet.. grr XD

basically, got 300 dollars this week ^^ .. $140 from sellin' back my own books myself and $160 as my paycheck from work this past 3 weeks..

basically, i'm workin' 7 hours everyday from monday to friday nxt week (thank God it's spread out and ndi katulad nung 3 12-hour shifts thing XD)

and basically, i really miss you guys =( .. XD .. it was graduation today at UNF and the bookstore put up a stall at the arena.. so i did laps and laps of seemingly endless walking / running goin' back and forth between the 2.. XD

tpos medyo nagkamiscommunication with me getting picked up pa XD so basically, ran from the bookstore to the library to lot 7 and back to the library until i finally got picked up XD ..

lemme see.. dang! such a blur i don't even remember what happened monday and tuesday! XD

ay ayun! i remember now XD .. we were preparing for the group presentation that was to happen wednesday XD basically that's it i guess.. tpos i had work on the side.. =D

wednesday was our group presentation for english.. it went well ^^ .. right after our presentation and class ended, i got a call from tito joel.. he stayed home cuz him and uncle golan did the mulch for the house.. when he called me, he said, "guess what jase! you're guitar's here dude!" XD

i was so psyched i couldn't wait for the day to be over and so i could finally see my guitar ^^ .. at the end of the day, tired and all messed up / bogsa XD , i finally saw it and held it in my hands! ^^ .. happy moment of the week.. XD =) .. (unfortunately, la pa akung amplifier and we're still workin' on it pero hopefully makuha ku na this week ^^ .. pero kht la pa amplifier, pineplay, at linalabas ku pa rin araw2 XD ..)

thursday we had lab (after 2 weeks of not having any cuz of veteran's day and thanksgiving XD ..) it was our final lab, tpos lab practical / final na next week @_@ .. me and caleb and justin (also from my lab class) ate at chik-fil-a at the towncenter then me and caleb went to the guitar center ^^ .. pinaayos ku ung guitar ku kc nafrustrate na aq kakapalit ng strings tpos sobrang hassle and nasisira lng kaagad (obviously super noob XD ..) .. bought a strap for my guitar (which there is a picture of in the My Les Paul album) tpos had my guitar set-up.. it cost 45 dollars for the setup pero it was worth it.. atska i2 pa.. what happened was that the guitar tech at the guitar center had 2 other guitar he was working on before he could work on mine, so obviously he wasn't going to be able to finish it before it was time for us to leave.. bale it was just there till yesterday, tita norie picked it up for me and paid the $45 bucks.. "Merry Christmas" daw XD .. thanks tita norie! ^^ .. got to play it a bit today and i am so happy wth it.. i don't remember it sounding this good since i first bought it a few years ago XD .. so that's good ^^

that same day, thursday, was my placement test for math.. for all who don't know, basically, i screwed up the placement test that i took nung summer XD .. so i was made to take Intermediate Algebra.. the academic advisor i spoke to at school said i could contact Dr. Hochwald at the math and stat department to see if i can skip int. algebra and just go straight to pre-calculus.. so thursday was the test that would determine whether i could or could not jump to pre-calc.. good news...... i passed! XD .. actually, my score was a bit short of the score that would allow me to skip int. algebra, but the good thing was that he checked the test manually and saw some of my mistakes that were real minor errors lng.. ung mga tipong 3 x 2 = 9 hahaha amp nga e.. XD .. tska there was something about it that i really felt was God's favor at work.. Dr. Hochwald had a feeling about me that he wouldn't have any problems / he wouldn't hear of me if he were to allow me to take pre-calc.. in other words, he had faith that i would do good in the class.. ^^ .. hard to explain but that's basically the gist of it XD .. ^^

friday was my stat exam.. it was the first college exam i least studied for EVER .. XD .. but i think i did ok p rin nmn kht papanu ^^ .. and i didn't pressure myself too much since Dr. Sen will drop the lowest exam score anyway.. so if i did worse than 95 on this one, edi ok lng.. iddrop un tpos my 2 exams, a 97 and a 95, will just average out to be a 96 which is still pretty good ^^ .. and who knows.. MAYBE i might have done better this time.. (despite not studying much for it XD ..) .. i also registered for classes nung friday.. i'll tell ya about it in another post n lng XD

yesterday, chores lng tpos work.. XD ..

i had to do my grammara quiz for english, a paper for enlish as well, i have to read 2 chapters of my psych book before tuesday cuz my exam is on wednesday (and im tellin' ya.. chapters in that book are LONG.. there's only 16 chapters in the book and it's about an inch thick, about as long and wide as our big notebooks nung high school... tpos nag-hhighlight2 pa aq and take notes on the side.. kaya 1 chapters takes me a long time XD ..), tpos i have to catch up with my reading sa bio cuz im kinda left behind ng kaunti XD, timed essay sa english tomorrow, work everyday monday to friday this week starting tomorrow, lab practical on thursday, statistics comprehensive exam on monday the next week, and then last bio exam on the day after (tuesday) ..

in short, CRUNCH time.. and i don't mean capn' crunch nor nestle crunch either XD

pero if i can just hang in there for the last week and a half of school, i'll be good ^^ .. tpos bakasyon na from the 12th till the 7th of january! ... yipee XD

dang! long time no post huh? XD

hmm.. i don't even know what the last story it was i told ya.. oh yeah! the one about tarddoggy / john from the forum who's gonna give me a pedal thingy =D

i was supposed to get the guitar already this week but it didn't happen yet kasi yun nga.. the pedal that's gonna come additional.. or at least that's what i think XD .. john said kc na isesend na lang niya kay will ung pedal tpos sabay2 isesend sakin.. i was expecting the guitar wednesday / thursday.. when wednesday passed tpos la pa rin, i messaged will and said, "didn't get it yet today.. i guess it's gonna be here tomorrow then? *fingers crossed* XD =D" ..

he replied by saying he's delaying sending me the guitar and he said for me to call him to find out.. sabi niya it was a good thing.. i was never able to call him.. i explained to him i was a little pre-occupied at the moment.. got busy with stuff (which i'll get into later.. =D ..) .. so ayun.. i'm just guessing na yun nga.. it's the pedal.. pero if it's anything other than that i'll be suprised! XD ..

just to add, ok n lng rin na medyo nadedelay yung pagsend nung guitar kc sabi ni tito joel if i just keep up my grades, and wait till the end of the month before i order my amp, he'll contribute half of the expense! ^^ .. i found a great deal from a deal here in jax for the amp i plan to buy (the Traynor YCV20WR).. they're selling it for $520 compared to its original price of $640 ^^ .. so for sure, im gonna get it from them and hopefully all will be smooth =D

monday last week was veteran's day so walang pasok.. thus, i had a 3-day weekend.. what happened was that i underestimated the work that i needed to get done so i slacked off nung weekend XD .. did absolutely no work at all XD .. (except i read my psych book a bit nung monday =D ..) kaya ang nangyari, the whole week this week i was real busy XD .. hardly got to go OL, and it just totally passed like a blur! XD

exam ku sa bio nung thursday.. it was one of the main reasons why i was busy the whole week.. i usually start studying for an exam a good 3-5 days before the exam itself.. e bio pa naman tong exam na to, tpos ndi ku ginawa ung cheat sheet ku over the weekend.. kaya aun.. busyness @_@ .. XD .. ALSO, i started my work nung tuesday!!! weeee XD .. so that ate up a big chunk of my time din.. ^^

started studying nung tuesday, wednesday, tpos thursday ung exam.. thankfully, since walang pasok nung monday and may isang section na may bio lab dapat nun tpos walang pasok, since they didn't have their lab, we didn't have ours either XD .. o dba? fair XD .. kaya nung thursday, instead of having my bio lab in the morning, i just went to school around 10 and started studying up until the exam..

.... it was easy @_@ XD .. after toiling so much for it, it turned out to be pretty easy XD .. i literally over-studied for it XD .. pero ok na rin un.. it's a good thing ^^ .. i haven't gotten the result yet pero sana maka 106 aku haha XD (100 for getting all 33 3-pt questions right and then 2 bonus questions worth 3 points each too.. XD ) .. sana sana sana =D .. i'll find out the result on tuesday ^^

after the exam that day (thursday), i had work (also had work the day before, started tuesday) .. tpos when i got home, after dinner, punta naman sa townhouse na ipapa-upa nila tito joel para mag-linis @_@ .. pero it was ok lng nman since i didn't really have much goin' on the next day (friday) .. english and stat lng nmn tpos la pang work.. ^^ .. AND, i got paid 20 bucks XD .. it took about 2 hours so i earned about 10 bucks per hour hehe =D

still same day (thursday), tita jess (kapatid ni tito joel) and grandma luchi (tito joel's mom) flew in from new york to spend the weekend and to go to the housewarming.. so they slept over here in the house for 2 nights.. ^^

saturday was tito jeric's housecoming (check out pics =D ..) .. we went there around lunch time.. when we got there, we checked out the house which is TOTALLY DECKED OUT AND SWEET BY THE WAY! XD .. the kids (including me XD .. ndi na aku pasado maging bata noh? XD ..) hanged out in jonjon's room.. (he's got a flatscreen tv, his own bathroom and walk-in closet, AND his own ps3!!!! @_@ ..) XD .. and so, the call of duty craze started XD .. maya2, the moore-berlins (cla tita norie, uncle dave, james, becca) and grandma arrive.. bumengga lalo ung call of duty craze! haha XD .. twas so much fun playin' with james ^^ .. that was pretty much what we did the whole day besides eating.. hahaha XD .. twas fun ^^

we set out to leave around 5 pero we ended up leaving mga 5:30 XD .. an accident happened kc.. =S .. when tito joel started his bike, as he was about to move, his clutch locked up tpos tumigil ung bike or something like that and then late na nya nababa ung paa nya kaya semplang XD .. ambigatbigat pa naman nun! @_@ .. thankfully, he didn't get hurt, no damage to the bike that was THAT bad, tpos it eventually started naman after a little tinkering XD

quick aside: on the way home, saw a dodge viper XD .. hehe cool B-)

got home and ayun.. the end XD ..

BESIDE ALL THAT, aral naman for the psych exam.. i managed to study a little bit yesterday tpos today, i studied 6 hours @_@ XD .. from 2:30 to mga 8:30.. XD i'm ready ^^ .. gotta ace this exam tomorrow para isang exam na lang para ma-100/ace ku ung class XD .. sana sana sana ^^

all in all, the Lord's been good and thing's have been pretty ok naman.. =) .. hopefully this coming week will be great.. =D .. it's thanksgiving next week and starting thursday hanggang sunday, la pasok ^^ .. unfortunately, it's probably gonna be filled up with being busy over the group presentation for english @_@ .. sana nmn hindi.. ALSO, hopefully i'll get the guitar already his week =D .. i'll be meeting with my group again tomorrow, (we met already a couple times in the past) hopefully we get a lot done..

i only have work tomorrow, no work tuesday and wednesday.. tpos un n nga, long weekend starting thursday.. still don't know what's gonna happen for thanksgiving and what we're gonna do pero hopefully it'll be good =D (daming "hopefully" noh? XD ..)

pray i do good on tomorrow's exam and get good news about the bio exam on tuesday.. =D

it's kinda weird / new to me how holloween is here in Jacksonville.. today, i've seen 1 cowboy, 2 flower girls, 1 medieval lady, a couple of pirates, a zombie nurse, and right now, a couple of computers away from me (i'm in the library right now), i see a grim reaper type sickle sticking out from one spot..

people actually where constumes! XD haha it's kinda weird.. but amusing nonetheless ^^ .. i don't know if it's just in colleges but i'm not surprised if later, i drive down the road and see a wizard in the car next to us at a stoplight XD

anyways, update time! XD

i got the result of my stat exam that i took last Friday.. i got a 97/100.. =)

it's a nice score, but IT WAS SO CLOSE! ... XD .. sayang e .. the last one i got a 95 in.. this time, a 97 -- an improvement... but it's just a downer thinking that on both of them, i was just 1 or 2 CARELESS mistakes away from 100 .. XD .. sorry for the complaining.. =D .............................. ok i take it back XD

i don't wanna be complaining now and then fail the next one XD

it was my 3rd psych exam this past monday.. just got the results today......... it's another 100! yay!!!!!!!! XD .. 2 more to go and i would have completely aced the class =) .. i really hope i do get 100's on the next two.. because if i do, that means i wouldn't have to do any extra credit work to get a 100 as a final grade.. if i DONT get 100 on the next two, i'd most probably opt to do some extra credit work to bump my final grade up to 100 =D ... at this point, i'm pretty darn sure that i won't take the final exam anymore for this class.. =D .. in case you i haven't mentioned, if you take ALL 5 midterm exams, the final becomes OPTIONAL .. SO..... i'll just make sure that i take the next 2 exams, and i won't have to take it anymore ^^ .. i doubt that taking the final would bump up my grade.. i mean, getting a 100 on the final is A LOT MORE tougher than getting a 100 on one of the midterm exams.. =D get what i mean?

today, i MIGHT get the guitar already... when i talked to Will, he said "Thursday or Friday" but i won't be surprised if i get even as late as next week.. why? ....

1. because he's sick his wife said on the forum XD
and
2. because he's making sure that i get a blue one =D

and it's fine if that is the case (that i get it late) ... as long as i do indeed get the blue one (XD ..) AND it also gives me more time to try out more amps and hopefully find THE one.. XD

also today, in between my lab and lecture, me and Caleb went to the guitar center! ^^

twas really fun!!! =D .. for the first time, i actually got to go to the guitar center and actually be there for at least an hour XD .. i just went wacko and did everything XD .. i played bass in the bass section, drums in the drums section, acooustic in the acoustic section, and then i got to try an amp that might be THE ONE XD (after the super long amp search i've been goin' through that you guys probably don't know about XD ..)

i tried the Vox Valvetronix AD50VT .. a 1x12 sized vox 50 watt valvestate modeling amp.. pretty sweet ^^.. AND, it has the headphone output that i totally need in this house cuz i'm definitely gonna be too loud XD

hehe twas a real nice birthday today =) .. even though when i got home, i had to do laundry crap XD .. i mean, we're talkin' folding underwear and rolling socks here hahahaha XD .. AND kht na may exam aku bukas and i had / have to study XD .. twas all still great ^^

XD .. so far, i'm advance in my reading for all my subjects.. sa psych, last week pa me tapos sa lahat ng kelangan basahin for the next exam.. sa stat, advance rin.. sa english, la nmn maxado meron and it's gonna be pretty easy going for this week.. my next paper isn't sue till november pa.. ^^

ok, second, i got a package in the mail with the guitar picks i ordered last wkek.. hehe.. i have no idea why i did it, but i just did XD .. i just wanted to test out how it is to buy something online (also, cuz dale was asking me about buying stuff online that same day XD ..) .. it was just 9 bucks including shipping and i got 7 Dava Grip Tip picks.. they're pretty cool ^^ .. i'm gonna be stickin' to them for a while *nudge* XD

also, the side story to this was that last week when i ordered it, i ordered the 6 pack of grip tips but then saw that they have a 5-pack of all they're picks -- a try-one-of-each pack, if you will.. so i emailed Dave Storey (the Dave of Dava picks himself XD ..) and asked him if i can have my order exchanged for the try-em-all 5 pack instead.. he's a real nice guy and he said he'll take care of it ^^ .. a few days letter, i got an email from him saying that they sent out the wrong pack.. tuluyan nilang na-send ung 6-pack ng grip tips.. he also said na i don't have to send it back to him.. it's free! .. and he's gonna send me the 5 pack still.. ^^ nice =D

next, i got the results of my 2nd bio exam today as well.. and i got another A =D .. the raw score was 94/100 pero since may extra credit points from clicker questions / in-class participation points, i actually got a 105/100 XD .. tpos ung last one, ung exam one, was 103/100 XD .. sweet B-)

moving on, today, the 23rd, is also the day that MLP (my guitar forum) announces the winner of the 2-month long referral contest that i've been asking help from you guys with =D

XD .. ^^

wooh! XD .. that certainly is a lot for one day's worth of showered blessings.. and i'm tellin' ya.. it really felt like it poured! XD

it was his birthday yesterday.. we ate at Olive Garden - me, tita jinky tito joel, cole, becca, james, uncle dave, tita norie, and grandma.. then after eating, uncle dave, tita norie, grandma, becca, and cole went home while me, james, tita jinky, and tit joel went to watch a movie.. kami ni james watched The Comebacks, tpos cla tita jinky and tito joel watched We Own the Night..

guess what James got himself for his bday *smug* XD

this week, i have my stat exam, gotta work on another paper, keep up with my reading, and the regular stuff..

last night, i felt real great about the turn-out of my studying for the exam i was to have the next day.. the next day (which was today) .. lab in the morning, exam in te afternoon.. doesn't sound very good but it turned pretty good ^^

first of all, the experiment today was pretty easy.. and it was great that the lab's topic was about the topics that were to come up in the exam.. so parang naging isang napakalaking review session ung lab class namin XD .. in one activity, we were given some cards which had written on them, stuff about the processes of respiration.. glycolysis, pyruvate oxidation, krebs cycle, and the electron transpot chain & chemiosmosis.. bsta.. un XD .. tpos we had to use the cards to present our understanding of the topic.. long story short, i did good and i was real happy about it =D

after lab class, lunch kmi ni caleb, then pnta sa library to study..

the exam was pretty ok ^^ .. i feel pretty good about it.. i hope it'll have a nice turn-out next week when i get the results ^^

so today, when i got home, felt really nice cuz i hardly had any work to do =) .. advance na reading ku sa psych, bukas there's a timed essay in english pero wla nmn kelangan gawin para maghanda, tpos the regular quiz sa stat..

it felt nice to just be able to undwind.. play some guitar.. watch some tv (which i rarely get to do, it seems XD ..) and just have no worries ^^

i hope i'd get this feeling more often XD

it ain't gonna last long though.. XD next week, exam nmn sa stat XD pero it ain't till the end of the week p nmn ^^

the lab nung thursday was good.. hanged out a lot with caleb again..

i got another good score in my 2nd psych exam.. *wink* XD

this morning, i ran and did my chores.. this afternoon, i was suppposed to go to a pool party of one of my cousins but what happened was that me and my lab insturctor had an exchange of emails last night, and long story short, the lab report thing i worked almost all day yesterday, i have to do over @_@ oh well.. XD .. i have to get the lab work done now para next week i'm free to study for the exam next thursday..

next thrusday, it's gonna be my biology exam.. another paper in english might be due next week as well.. it's gonna be tight ..

other than that, nothing else is goin on naman.. i'd lyk to know how you guys are doing though =D

bambi was brought to the vet today and was put to sleep.. =( .. she wasn't doing good kc for the past few weeks e.. she couldn't hold in her pee nor her poo and she had to be brought out all the time.. we could tell that she was in pain.. the doctor agreed with the decision of relieving her of the pain.. haay ka-sad talaga.. lalo na wen tita jinky sent me a pic of when she was already asleep.. =(

HAPPY BIRTHDAY COLE!!! ^^

twas cole's birthday yesterday (oct.5) but we celebrated it today.. cla tita jinky invited over the moore-berlin family, tito jeric and family, tapos church people.. ^^

nung umaga i woke up around 9:20.. haba tulog hehe XD .. cleaned the house, did my chores.. etc..

cla tita jinky and aunt grettel ran a half-marathon starting nung 7.. it was a 13 mile run.. tpos tito joel was working security for the event..

around 12, di pa me naglulunch XD, me and tita jinky went to costco to pick up cak #1 (which was the big rectangle cake.. check pics) .. while there, we did groceries na rin for the week.. after costco, sa publix naman where we picked up cake #2 (which is was the small round cake..) .. the purpose of this cake was for cole (but actually tito joel and tita jinky xD) to blow the candle AND for him to dig in to.. LITERALLY XD .. which is why there are some pics na puro cake mukha ni cole xD

when we got to public.. dun dun dun.. =S .. ndi nagawa cake ni cole =( .. so they just gave us a complimentary cake for free tapos ginawan ng last minute na happy birthday cole na sulat.. xD

bak at home, ayun na.. everything was being set up na.. i had to make my lunch quick so i could help out and at least be ready before everybody started coming.. xD

so ayun.. datingan mga tao, mingling mingling.. chika chika.. food food.. picture picture.. then maya2 it was time to blow the candle ^^

so nag gather kaming lahat sa may dinner table where the cake was set and where cole's high chair and cake was set.. so aun hehe twas nice ^^ .. (check video.. ;) ..)

after this, cole was cleaned up (from all the cake he had on him xD ..) tpos he was kinda grumpy na xD .. obviously sleepy.. so from his point on, the party went on without the bday boy himself.. xD .. tulog! haha =)) .. but the show went on xD

so after this, bukasan na ng gifts and stuff.. lotsa toys, books, educational stuf, clothes etc.. ^^

that was pretty much it i guess.. it was a very nice celebration =)

it's a bummer though na after the tiring day, gotta study pa xD

psych exam on monday.. =D

weee a free 10 minutes before i make my way to class XD

anyways, just a quickie.. =D

yesterday was fun.. bio lab and lec was great.. nung lab we did sterile technique, some microscope stuff ulit, etc etc.. nung lecture, i sat with caleb.. when the class was over (@ around mga 3), i wasn't gonna get picked up till 4.. originally, i would have just went to the library to hang out there.. but after class, as me and caleb were walking out and talking, out of the blue, he asked if i play ping pong XD .. so i said "well not really but ya know what.. my dad was a ping pong champ back in his days.. XD =D ..)" .. then he asked if ive been to the game room yet.. so i said, not YET XD .. then he said, "well ya have till about 4 right.. how bout i bring ya there.." or sumthng like that XD .. so we went ^^

we went there, it's a cool place.. there are 4 billiard tables (AMF's), 3 or 4 ping pong tables, a couple of game consoles (xbox 360, ps2, etc) for the hard-core gamers XD .. medyo pumapatok ngaun dun sa game room kc irerelease na ung Halo 3 =D .. so wen we got there, there was one free pool table.. so we played a couple of games ^^ (i totally suck already.. gotta get my game back XD ..)

so aun, that was fun ^^

aside that, my referrals in the MLP forum have soared over the past 2 days! XD .. from 75, it jumped to a whopping 115!!! weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! XD

ok lemme explain this agen in case ya didn't read my previous post entitled "favor plz" =D

there's this contest on MyLesPaul forums, a guitar forum i joined about a month or two ago.. it's a referral contest and the prize is a pair of pickups for an electric guitar (care of WB Pickups.. check out their site ;) .. http://wbpickups.com/)

in that previous post, "favor plz", i asked you guys to register to the forum with me as your referrer.. doing so gives me one referral..

right now, my refarrals are 75.. XD .. thanks for your support ^^ (sa mga gumawa nung favor =D ..) .. at about 50, i stopped trying already XD .. haha i was pretty sure i was gonna win.. and that still is the case.. BUT ^^

i got a message on the forum straight from the man of WB Pickups himself .. Will Boggs ^^ .. he gave me his number and told me to call him... i know it's kinda weird, but i thought about it and it didn't really seem like it's dangerous or anything like that... strangely, my intuition was to call.. so i did XD

wen i spoke to him (he sounds like a very nice guy by the way ^^ ..), in a nutshell, this is what he said..

he said that i was totally killing / dominating the referral contest.. so i said, yeah pretty amazing XD (amazing considering 75 referrals XD and the one below me has 14 XD ..) .. and then he asked what les paul i have.. so i said, "im pretty sure ive mentioned it already on the forum that i don't have any yet" .. i went on and said that i do plan to buy one when i get the money though which would probably be at the end of the year considering i was let go of my job 2 weeks ago.. i also said that come time in october when the winners of the contest was announced, i was gonna ask him if i could have the pickups held back till i get the guitar..

he then asked what i was planning to buy and i said it was the Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus Top in Trans Blue..

ok here's the deal.. XD

when i woke up this morning, i didn't feel so good about what happened yesterday.. something didn't seem right..

i talked to tita jinky and tito joel about it and they are both against it and they don't want me to give away our address..

long story short.. i ain't getting fred's offer XD

in a sense, it's too good to be true.. even though i felt that he was kinda sincere, and even though it really might have been for real, nonetheless, in the end, i'd still have to respect tita jinky's and tito joel's decision on it anyway.. and though his sincereness can be debatable, we'll never really know.. it's better not to know than to find out with the addition of something bad happening.. if your mind is broad, ya'll can imagine what i mean..

i ain't really affected by it cuz a day before yesterday, i was doing fine... everything was goin ok.. so theoretically, i should still be fine even though it ain't gonna happen anymore.. in other words, i can think of it as if it never really happened..=D

ever since the beginning of it all.. i knew it.. when i recieved that first email and he asked me about my gear, i already knew that he was gonna give me something.. i wasn't so surprised by the time i got the 4th or 5th message where he laid it down and told me he'd give me the amp n' guitar.. at the same time, i kinda had the feeling that this probably still won't happen XD .. ewan ku ba XD i just had this feeling from the start.. i guess i just got blinded by the excitement and the hope of it really being true.. not so much the exceitement about it really happening.. gets? XD .. i was blinded by the thought that it could be from God, when it, in reality, was most likely just a test from Him, seeing if i could say no to it.. i know this is really faith-ish nd all but it's a good thing not to be ashamed of it =D .. thing is this... when it was that 1st Burning Heart session (a night service that happens every month at church where it's all praise and worship), one theme of it hat night was surrender and about Him being #1 and above all.. at some point in the service, kelanie i believe, was led by the Holy Spirit to say that we should surrended anything that we might be considering above God.. and at that moment, what first came to my mind was my future guitar.. medyo what was happening kc was that my work was becoming motivated into making money for that guitar (which might be one reason why God took away the job form me).. so nyweiz, it's cuz of that that the first thing is thought of was to surrender the guitar (even though i didn't even have it yet) to the Lord so i could rethrone Him as #1 in my life.. that moment, the Lord spoke to Tita Jinky and Tita Jinky gave me confirmation that that was what the Lord wanted me to do.. so that's what i did..

so when this thing happened yesterday, i initially thought that this might be Go'd answer to that.. but then i realized when i thought about it a little harder, that i may have not surrendered it fully yet, and that this was another test from Him.. so now, that it ain't gonna happen anymore, im more at peace cuz i feel that i passed the test in the sense that i was so easily able to accept tita jinky's and tito joel's decision.. ya'll get what i mean? please don't think of me as wierd or anything ayt? XD

nyweiz, on the bright side, im still alive XD .. im still fine.. XD .. it's as if nothing's happened .. everything's going smoothly.. and everything is STILL in God's hands.. =) ;) .. im going to try to get a hold of fred agen and tell him about my decision.. in other words, i'll say, thanks anyway.. XD

off that topic, i was able to speak with Mr. Turner again today, and everything is pretty much planned and ironed out.. but it's still subject to change and it all depends on the decisions ill be making in the future, and the conviction God gives me toward the direction He wants me to go.. as goes in Kelanie's song 'Let Go Now', "I make my good plans; You [God] direct my stops. I will trust in You at all times. Your ways are higher than mine. I let go now." =D

aside from that, other upcoming stuf..

i have to read chapter 1 of my english textbook.. 80 pages long! XD (so don't go thinking it's THAT easy for me here.. XD) .. the 1st draft for essay #2 is due next week..

tuesday is my Biology exam..

friday is my Statistics exam..

and aside from that, i guess that's pretty much it.. XD

let me cut it here though and go back a little bit..

there's this one thread in the forum that was started by our admin their, flickofflash is his username, but we all call him flick =D

i had a real cheap strat replica made by suzuki when
i was back in the philippines.. unfortunately, when i flew here,
i couldn't bring it with me cuz it was too much for me to bring..
what i was able to bring was my Seagull acoustic and right
now that's all ihave.. i also have a Boss ME-50 effects processor
that my uncle gave for my birthday but i haven't really been
able to use it since my amplifier went screwy
shortly after i got the ME-50.. thus i haven't
really witnessed the ME-50's full potential. and since
i dont have a guitar right now, it's just beencollecting dust..

guitar store with the money ive made being a
doctor..
ive been playing for about 4 or 5 years now since i
was 12.. .. i just finished learning this new song
by andy mckee called for my father.. it's a great
song and i dedicate it to my dad since it was his
borthday this past 16th of sept, but most especially
to the Lord cuz he's so awesome XD
so playing wise ive kinda been sticking to acoustic
songs / pieces since i dont have an electric guitar
to play with.. i cant wait to start getting serious
with electric guitar.. lead and all that stuff.. i
think ive gone pretty far in terms of my ability
with an acoustic guitar, but i know that with
electric guitar, i still have a lot to learn

ok here we go.. XD

bio lab class and bio lec class today was good ^^ .. esp. the lab class we did a group thing (i was grouped with Megan (a diff. Megan from work and from the Megan from my ENC class.. haha dami Megan amp XD .. , Justin, and Caleb).. i got to hang out with Caleb a lot today cuz we had to do work for the lab activity we had after class.. so me, him, and Justin (Megan couldn't go anymore) went to the Library and finished work there.. i also had lunch with Caleb, and spoke to him after the lecture class.. (caleb and bobby [from eng class] are probably the 2 closest friends {if ever close XD ..} that i have now).. hehe i know it doesn't sound like much but for me it's a wee. XD

ok here's the bummer of the day.. before the bummer XD, i went to an academic advisor to discuss my courses for the next semesters (for this, i'll make another post on it.. maybe tomorrow.. magulo pa e.. im trying to fix it out and im going to see Mr. Turner [the advisor i spoke with today] again tomorrow just to iron things out.. ill keep you guys posted.. ;) ..)

after that, i went down to one stop ask some other things that Mr. Turner couldn't help me out with.. 1st of all, ung Merit Scholarships (note this mom and dad), i cannot apply for any more.. if ya remember, this is the scholarship that required an essay on november.. but it turns out this is for INCOMING freshman.. e freshman na aq e.. XD .. so yeah.. too late for that..

i can apply for scholarships though in the future when ive declared a major already cuz once ive declared a major, i can apply for scholarships at the college where that major is concentrated (e.g. Biology Major = Dept. of Biology = College of Health = i can apply for scholarships that the CoH give out..) (mom, dad, check out this page http://www.unf.edu/finaid/scholarships/ .. the merit scholarhips page that tita norie saw is under the link Freshman.. i cant get that anymore but i CAN get the ones from the link below it Undergraduate.. check it out)

but wait!~ that's not tTHE bummer yet XD though it is A bummer XD

i called Lois Scott from the Dept. of Music about that job i got an email for the other day.. i got to talk to her at noon, right before i was going to talk to an Academic Adviser, and we scheduled an interview at 3:15 this afternoon.. she required that i bring a printed form of the letter of approval for college work study.. in other words, the amount that i can work for granted to me by the college work study program (CWSP).. i didnt quite know what this was when i talked to her so i said ill go to one stop and ask them about it there..

when i got to one stop, they told me that i wasn't approved any amount for college work study.. x_X .. in other words, i can't get the job XD .. akala ku kc, i can apply for the job as long as im ELIGIBLE for the CWSP.. un pala i had to be GRANTED the approval already, including the amount that i could work for, not just eligible..

in short, kung wala kayong nagets sa lahat ng sinabi kong un,

bye bye job.. XD

im now on standby again.. hoping ill get another call soon..

some updates since the last post =D

so as you guys know, i lost my job XD .. so ive made a couple of applications in the past few days, ADDITIONAL to the ones that i already made before.. ive applied to all the jobs i can apply to, and right now im just on standby.. that other job that i got a call from 2 weeks ago still hasn't called me back since i followed it up last week..

BUT.. =>

i just checked my email and i already got a reply from the music dept. (which was one of the jobs i applied for this week) .. hehe so that's gud news #1 ^^ .. it's just a minimum wage job pero that's fine ^^ .. the job description says..

" Assist office secretary with answering incoming calls and routing accordingly, filing paperwork, light typing, running errands and other duties as assigned."

i'm going to consult cla tita jinky and ask if i should go ahead and pursue this job OR just wait for more callbacks.. i'll keep ya guys posted on the developments in the later days ;)

good news #2 .. i aced my psych exam!!!! yay!!!! XD .. weeee saya2 ^^ thank u Lord ^^

it was a 50 item, multiple choice test.. there was 2 forms of the test, test form A and test form C.. i got a C test form.. in my psych class today, the scantron sheets (test answer sheets) were given back to us today so we can check it.. we were all in suspense waiting for our name to be called, only to see no markings on the scantron except a green check (which meant that it was already scanned by a computer) .. when all the sheets were passed out, he gave us the correct answers to the questions so we could check it.. i counted 47 correct answers.. 3 mistakes.. already i was happy ^^

but he went on to say that there's 2 bonus questions for each test form.. for test C, it was #4 and #50 .. well what do ya know! those were two of the three mistakes i made! XD .. so my score jumped from 47 to 49.. what a joy =)

but THEN, he still goes on to explain that the base for curving the scores was 49.. ONLY 1 PERSON IN THE WHOLE CLASS GOT A PERFECT 50.. guess who it was? the guy i always sit next to.. my psych class filipino friend Mel! .. he got a perfect 50! (yeah! rock! wee! go pinoy power! haha XD ..) his scores percentage was 102, 2 points higher than the highest which is 100 XD .. aside from me there were 2 other people who got 49, and since 3 people is more than 1, 49 was made the base score, not Mel's 50 (hayup kc un e haha XD ..)

in other words, i got a 49/49 which is 100! yay!!!!!!!! XD .. (and Mel got a 50/49 XD .. @_@ over the top amp XD ..)

for the rest of the semester there's gonna be 4 more exams like this.. a total of 5.. if i take all 5 exams, i do not have to take the final.. the final becomes optional.. (so obviously, ill try my best to take all 5 para di ku na kelangan mag final exam where studying for it is most difficult thus the chance that i make a mistake is higher) ..

hopefully, i'll be able to keep my future exam scores above 90, or even more hopefully, above 95, tpos i can do extra credit work to give me +3 to the final grade and hopefully, it'll add up in the end to 100.. sana.. hihi =D

hmm.. anu pa ba.. :-/

ive been working on a new song lately sa guitar.. it's called For My Father by Andy Mckee.. check it out on youtube if ya want.. ^^ .. maybe when i have the time, i'll take a vid of myself playing it.. :>

ok lemme clear it out a bit.. they didn't actually "fire" me.. it's just that they're cutting down hours like hell and it just so happened to be that they didn't give me any of what was left XD

ndi aku maxado nagulat kc napansin ku pa-isa-isang nawala mga iba kong ka-work.. when i'd see them around campus, i'd ask, "hey ____, i haven't seen ya at work recently.." .. and they'd say that they got let go lrdy.. =|

this is the thing.. i can tell the bookstore peeps that they can call me when they need help again.. i wouldn't need to apply again or anything like that; they'd just give me a call and ill work for em.. kaso that's most likely gonna be around the next semester already cuz the bookstore starts getting busy again around that time.. (kumbaga the nearer it is to the start/end of a sem, the busier the bookstore is.. i don't wanna be idle / without work for that long, so ima look for a new job lrdy..

today made me realize how unstable the job was.. the hours aren't constant.. the busyness is seasonal.. it all leads up to the realization that it's time to get another job.. =D

i really liked the perks though.. it was located centrally on campus such it's near to all the buildings where i have classes.. i got a discount on my textbooks.. i had a locker, a fridge, and a microwave to use.. and the people were nice.. it was a way for me to meet people, etc..

what was a bumemr about the job though that the labor didn't feel so minimum wage worthy.. it felt at sometimes that we deserved better pay.. pero i guess minimum wage pa rin cuz of perks like the discounts, etc..

so yeah, in a way it's a bummer.. =| .. pero it's fine i guess.. maybe there's a better job out there waiting for me =D

i'm re-checking the online applications that ive made over the summer for other jobs on campus.. i got 2 callbacks in the past couple of weeks pero tinanggian ku ung isa (cuz i didn't know that the job at the bookstore was gonna become like this =D ..) tpos ung isa, which i got a call from last week, tinawagan ku na today..

for sure, my next job HAS to be on campus.. maxado mahirap kung susunduin pa aku from skul tpos ihahatid sa work tpos susunduin pa uli.. for this first year, until i get to drive, i really need my job to be on-campus para mas madali not just for me but for tita jinky and tito joel as well..

im hoping that watever that next job will be, sana mas mataas sweldo XD (tipong $7/hour which is better that $6.67/hour.. =D .. sana hihi XD ..) or at least less tiring, while still retaining that schedule flexibility that the bookstore job had.. i also hope na i would be provided a fridge and microwave to use.. (which is really important cuz de-baon aku araw2 .. i never buy my food @ skul.. )

i pray that God will give me His favor again for the next job and i hope i get it soon.. =)

pray that i do get it soon and that it'll be the one God wants for me =D

screw up after screw up after screw up... XD sigh

my classes today were fine.. everything else sucked =)) haha XD

first of all, i forgot my fone sa bahay.. SUPER IMPORTANTE.. my fone is my way of contacting tita jinky and tito joel para masundo ako.. it is also my watch, thus im not aware of time without it cuz there are hardly any clocks around campus and in the library (wierdly).. =|

so at the end of my last class, my problem was contacting tita jinky/tito joel para masundo aq.. i went to the bookstore to use a fone there..

thing was, i forgot their numbers @_@ .. XD .. i remembered the last four of each of their numbers (which is 0440 for tito joel's no. tpos 4004 for tita jinky's no.) .. the first three numbers turned out to be 993 for both of their nimbers but i found that out the hard way.. XD

for some reason what was atop my head was 961.. i tried 961, 951, 931, 963.. mali lahat XD .. so pnta aq sa pinakamalapit na pc na magamit ku which was at the student service center across the bookstore.. i emailed tita jinky for her to reply to me her number or tito joel's para matawagan ku cla..

so after sending the email, naglakad n lng aq papuntang lot 7, not knowing if tito joel was gna be there or not.. of course this wouldn't be so much of a story if he was there, would it? XD .. malamang la xa dun.. XD .. balik aq dun sa student service center para magamit ulit ung pc to check if nagreply c tita jinky.. with how the story's going so far im pretty sure you knw wat happened.. wlang reply malamang XD .. i was later to find out that she was at a meeting.. i went to one of the people dun sa center to ask if i could use one of their fones para mas malapit and para ndi ku pa kelangan bumalik sa bookstore para gamitin fone nila dun.. i was pointed to a fone outside..... nearer the bookstore.. (wara wala rin XD ..)

i try calling agen.. tried different numbers.. all wrong XD

so balik aq sa pc to once again check the email... wla pa ring reply.. @_@

at this point, i feel all odds are against me.. but THANKFULLY, and FINALLY, i think of checking the professional references document i submitted for some job applications online.. sure enuf, tita jinky's number was there.. =D (first sign of light XD ..)

i call the number, nobody picks up.. i try calling 993-0440 which would be tito joel's number.. la din sumagot.. i call tita jinky's number agen and finally she picks up! =D .. but she's in a meeting (wenk wenk wenk..) and she tells me to call tito joel agen.. i try calling tito joel's number a couple of times and finally he picks up.. from the other line, it seemed like something was going on and that he was really busy.. at the end of that SUPER QUICK conversation, i hear, "i can pick you up in 15 minutes.." then we say bye..

feeling that all my problems are over, i go to lot 7, sit at the bench where i ALWAYS sit, and wait... i decide to read while i wait para medyo mapabilis ung oras.. 15 minutes pass (or at least i felt like it was 15 mins.. [rmmber wla aq relo XD ..]) and wala pa rin xa.. i just keep reading and i then realize that probably 30 mins has already passed.. i tell myself, "ok i'll just keep on reading my book and stay patient.." .. i keep reading..

of all days and of all times, ngaun pa aq nagutom amp.. XD .. so i think of buying a snack.. but guess what! i forgot my wallet too XD whahaha.. @_@ .. thankfully i had gum.. the gum saved me XD .. and though it was just gum, the sugar was enuf to at least stop the tummy-grumbling.. XD

i finish one module of my book and probably an hour passes by.. wala pa rin.. i go back to the fone to call tito joel.. i then find out that he said, "CALL me in 15 minutes.." .. warara XD

he then tells me na c tita jinky na ma magsusundo sakin.. i call tita jinky and tell her to pick me up.. she says she'll pick me up in an hour.. at least ngaun medyo mas pleasant ung paghintay ku kc nsa library aq naghintay.. aircon wee.. XD .. i decide to use the computer.. after i sat down and got a pc lrdy, i then decide to get a headset downstairs to listen to some music to soothe my senses.. so i log off from the computer and go downstairs.. half-way there i realize i need my i.d. to borrow a headset.. guess where it is! :> .. in my wallet which i forgot.. XD .. so i go back upstairs and get another computer..

after the hour, tita jinky picks me up..

i thought the chain of unfortunate events was over, but how could i forget!!!? it lacked a cherry on top.. XD .. tita jinky tells me that i left the iron (plantsa) on overnyt.. haaaay.. i coulda sworn i unplugged it.. SUPER TALAGA.. i remember it clearly.. yet supposedly i left it.. sigh.. XD

and so, that was my day.. XD .. highlight of the week.. XD

for the rest of the week (i hope nothing happens later in the week that can beat what happened today XD ..), tomorrow wala aq work.. my last class ends at 2.. i hope to get home early so i can do my chores and do more reading..

Exam 1 for my PSY class is on monday.. (that's why ive been reading so much lately =D ..) .. i hope monday won't be like it was today XD

ryt now i wanna tell you about what happened nung thursday.. XD .. no biggie really, but i just thought i'd focus on this story cuz i couldnt think of any other title for the post more interesting that this XD

nung thursday, at work, tim, one of my co-workers, bought some of this new candy that we got that day to sell at the store.. it was a pack of jellybeans.. just seemed like any other jelly beans that you may have seen but these were a bit different.. sure there was the regular flavor like cherry, lemon, blueberry, etc etc.. but what was special about this pack of jelly beans was the extremely wierd flavor that also came with it.. XD

some of which were dirt, rotten egg, earthworm, black pepper, soap, vomit, ear wax.. etc . hahaha XD .. edi xmpre pinagkaguluhan sa back room XD .. it was real funny to see the reactions on other people's faces when they tried the wierd flavors XD .. i tried the dirt, then sabi ko, "hmm.. since i had dirt.. why don't i have earthworm as well XD .." so aun, i had earthworm too XD .. and man! they really did taste like dirt and earthworm! XD .. i wonder how they did it XD ..

the last one i had was vomit.. mr. keith had one before me peor ndi nya na-take.. he spat it out XD .. so i tried it.. XD .. i popped it in my mouth, and at the moment i chewed it, the flavor burst in my mouth XD .. lasang suka talaga haha XD .. after chewing it a couple of times (man i mustve looked funny XD ..) i forced it down and swallowed it.. XD

hehe.. so i gues that was the highlight of that day.. work was going real slow pa naman before that happened.. hehehe XD ..

i have an essay due tomorrow.. i finished it last nyt.. it's for my ENC class.. it's a 1000-word essay tpos the topic was, "Would you say yes to $8M but you have to leave America for good..?" .. i gotta read it agen.. i don't remember very well how happy i was with what i wrote last night cuz it took me 3 hours to write it XD .. i rmmber thought that i was just really happy wen i finished it haha XD .. today, im just gonna do more reading on my stat, psych, and bio books.. =>

about my schedule, im only work 10 hours next week.. XD .. tuesday's shift and then saturday's shift.. XD .. im gna try to ask ms. darla though if i can have friday's shift as well para 15 hours aq per week and para naman maging matino paycheck ku XD .. (i got my paycheck by the way nung wednesday! weeeeeeee XD .. it was REALLY FAT.. fatter than last time XD .. =D ..)

the reason for this cutting down of hours is that supposedly this would get some of the other temps to quit (although a lot of them were already let go..) .. this is because the bookstore doesn't need as much help anymore since tapos na ung rush (i also got my reimbursement discount this week =D .. i dunno if i spelled reimbursement right XD ..)

thus ang mangyayari, ma-cucut down ung hours ng mga tao for the next few weeks.. and the the hours of those who're gna quite will get added to the employees who're staying.. thus eventually, it'll pick up din.. my hours will go back to 26 din eventually ;)

past 2 days have just been normal.. skul.. work.. skul.. work.. nothing really out of the ordinary.. i just noticed my site accumulating dust so i thought i'd brush it off and post for the sake of posting XD ..

today, i dont have my 8 am lab class for biology cuz it was labor day nung monday and there was supposed to be a lab class then - scheduled for a different section.. so since la cla klase nun, edi la na rin daw klase samen ^^ .. my 1st class is at 1:50 - bio lec.. tpos work.. probably gna be a normal day agen XD

yay! =) .. church was awesome today ^^ .. actually, it was really awesome too last week wen perry stone was the guest speaker.. nice tlga ^^

nyweiz, today after morning service, tito joel brought me to the guitar center! yay! thanks tito joel! =)

i bought my guitar new strings.. D'Adarrio EJ 17's to be specific ^^ .. put em on myself today.. ^^ they're pretty good so far ^^ .. also, i bought a dunlop care kit which had all thes polishes, waxes, oils, polish cloths etc.. =D .. 1 guitar polish / cleaner, 1 guitar body wax, 1 fretboard cleaner polish, 1 fretboard deep conditioning oil, and 1 string lubricant.. it also came with a micro something fret cleaner thingy and 2 polish cloths ^^ .. so when i changed the strnigs today, i gave it my guitar the works! i cleaned and oiled the fretboard, polished and waxed the body, etc etc.. it's very much restored ^^ .. about ung action problem, wala ung in-house guitar tech e.. so i wasnt really able to have it looked at.. pero i was still able to talk someone about it.. sabi nya it doesn't look like a major problem.. probably just the truss rod or at most, the nut or maybe the saddle.. if i have it serviced in the future, it'll be mga 40 bucks depending on the seriousness of the problem.. pero @ 40 bucks it ain't so bad ^^

also today at the guitar center, i got to try out the Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus Top.. and they had it in Trans Blue too! .. im convicted.. it is definitely the guitar im buying.. =D .. tito joel said if i can somehow manage a 4.0 GPA (woah! XD ..) he'll contribute to half of it (which will be $250! the guitar is 500 bucks) =D .. hehe ^^ ill try my best.. =D .. i really will =D

tomorrow is Labor Day Holiday which is a big holiday here.. therefore, la aq work, la aq pasok ^^ .. i dont really know the history of labor day pero i see it as "hey America! we work hard everyday and hardly get a break.. so here's a break!" or somehting like that XD

btw sorry havent been OL past few days.. friday kc i had to do the chores in the morning before skul.. saturday, work was at 9:45 so i had to start my day early agen so ndi ulit nka OL .. today nmn, church.. so aun.. ill go OL tmrw if tita jinky and tito joel dont plan to do anything XD ..

also btw, Kelanie, the p&w leader sa church, released her new cd today! ^^ .. im listening to it now =D .. pag na-transfer ku na d2 sa pc at pag na convert ku na to mp3, ipopost ku sa multiply ku ^^ .. so if ya wanna get an idea of what we sing here sa church d2, ther ya go ^^ ;)

today i just had 2 classes, ENC and STAT.. sa ENC discussion lng bout ung mga errors of writing.. (you guys remember..? wordiness, etc..? =P ^^ ..) .. tpos sa STAT we had a quiz on frequency distribution, variables, etc.. SALAMAT Mr. MANALANG! daig mu mga prof ku sa stat d2! XD .. our stat class last year really helped ^^ .. in fact, i told mom n dad to see if they can find my old stat ntbk para i-send nila sakin =D

after classes, work.. same same.. as i said, nothing much nga XD =D

bukas i just have work 9:45 - 4:30 .. tpos monday, no classes, no work.. ^^ .. Labor Day Holiday.. yay XD =D

i tried dad, but it just takes me too long making the posts proper nd all.. i tried but it just wasn't working out tska mahirap lalo n kpag naghahalo na ung tagalog and english.. =D .. dont wori about it.. it doesn't affect my writing wen it comes to my college writing class and doing serious / formal writing.. ;) .. in fact, i just wrote an essay today in class as a writing assessment test.. and i wasn't really struggling in anyway or whatever ;) .. so aun.. forgive me for continuing on posting in this manner =D

yesterday was tuesday, which is the day where i only have one class, my Biology Lecture class with Prof. Michael Lentz.. basically it was nice ^^ .. he seems to be a really nice professor.. ung tipong very patient and passionate about what he's doing.. ^^ .. i think it's gna be a great class ^^ ..umm i met Kristina and Dave.. they're nice naman ^^ .. la nmn maxado ginawa.. since 1st meeting namin un, just like the other classes, we discussed the syllabus, etc etc.. at the end though, we had a pretest thing.. which we used to call 'diagnostic tests' in high school.. (ah yes.. the good ol' days.. XD ..)

interlude... =D .. i meet a lot of people as i kinda said before.. lyk today i met Danielle at my stat class for example.. ^^ .. tpos other people ive met (some i have mentioned before, some i havent =D ..) Bobby, Kenneth, Mel, Amanda, Kristina, Dave, etc etc.. either from work or from one of my classes.. there's a lot.. i can name more.. but basically my point is that my social life is not as bad as you guys may think XD .. in fact it's actually pretty good, especially sa work =D .. i love workin with the people i work with.. ^^ .. i've kinda become part of their family in a way which is nice.. ^^ .. so agen.. back to the point.. my social life is doing fine ^^ .. it's just that the other day i just kinda spoke too soon (read the last 4-5 paragraphs of my last post =D ..) cuz i just really miss having a friend i can hang out with freely and go to anytym =D .. today kc i kinda realized how im doing fairly well compared to the other people i see who are on their own and just on the same road as i am.. today, wen i realized how i do not have any class where i don't have anyone to talk to, and wen i realized how awesome the people are at work, i realized how i shouldnt have ever complained about it.. it's going good now and i can only expect it to become better =D

nyweiz.. XD .. that was pretty much my day yesterday =D .. today, the sked was the same as nung monday.. sa english class ku, we had a writing assessment test where we were made to write an essay about the story that was written on the paper.. after dis, 1 hour break so i went to the library.. after this, i went to the bookstore and yay! free pizza XD .. after the break, it was my stat class which was ok naman.. un nga i met danielle and sat with her and bobby.. the only bummer was ung prof nga as i talked about before.. pero today i learned that it's not just her difficulty in speaking english that's a bummer, but even how she explains stuf.. i mean yeah na gets ku naman (buti na lng) pero un nga.. the way she discussed the lessons just wasn't so great.. =|

after the class, break ulit.. basically library lng.. tpos kain ulit.. XD .. i explored the 3rd and 4th floors of the library.. GRABE ANDAMING BOOKS... nakaka-lula.. parang feeling mu mawawala ka if u go thru the shelves.. andami kc XD

after the break was the psych class which was good naman.. Mr. Chamblin's good ^^ .. actually lahat naman cla (mr. lentz, mr. chamblin, and mr. francis) is good except nga c dr. sen sa stat class ku =D .. the discussion was good and the lessons were ok pero un lng.. u really have to focus for you to get everything.. if your mind flies away even just for a while, medyo nkaka-wala.. so aun.. pero ok nmn ^^

after class, straight to work.. after work.. the end XD

tomorrow 7:30 ng umaga hanggang 7:30 ng gabi aq sa skul cuz ang aga nung biology lab class tapos work ku is hanggang 7:30..

it's gna be quite a day tomorrow.. but ill keep ya posted ^^ ;)

alrighty! XD .. let's start XD

i left the house at 10 am and stopped by at the Christian store (Life Way) where i bought 2 shirts.. 1 red one that says: "Born to Worhip The Rock" and then the verse Psalm 95:1 saying, "Let us make a joyful noise to The Rock of our salvation, tpos may guitar sa background.. ^^ .. jangasness XD .. and then 1 white one that says : "I am called" and then a smaller text listing: .. 'to be empowered, to fight, to praise, ..." etc, and then may abstract design na parang ung penshoppe-ish type just to give u an idea =D .. ^^ .. jangasness XD .. i also bought a rubber bracelet (parang baller) na may WWJD? (What Would Jesus Do?) na nakalagay ^^ .. jangasness ulit XD .. all this totalled $36 which is not bad for two shirts and a rubber bracelet ^^

after that, Tito Joel brought me to skul na..

so there i went.. XD

you may not realize it, but a whole new chapter in my life just started as soon as i stepped out of the car.. nkaka-wow kng icpn XD =D .. nuff said.. XD

i got there mga 10:30 with an ample amount of time to make it to my 1st class.. i made my way to the bookstore to drop off my lunch and check the shelf for my ENC class in case the books just got recieved last minute.. as i expected...... it wasn't there XD .. so after i left my lunch there, i went to Ms.Darla to ask here if i can get a locker =S

i was kinda worried kc i was told that you have to be a NON-TEMP employee to get a locker.. =S .. pero xmpre, because Ms. Darla is SOOOOOOOOOOOO nice to me (=D ..) pumayag xa.. at hindi lng un... she gave me HER locker!!! THANKS AGAIN MS. DARLA!!! ^^ .. she rocks!!! XD =D .. awesomeness! XD .. that makes me feel sooooo great btw cuz that kinda tells me that they intend to keep me there =) .. im not sure if ive explained this before but ill explain anyhow.. XD

at RUSH kc (which is the period of time encompassing the first few weeks before and after the 1st few days of skul), the bookstore hires 40 TEMPS .. TEMPS ha.. not PERMANENT employees.. in other words, they hire so many temps pag RUSH cuz they neeed the help..

working for the past couple of weeks, i'd sometimes overhear cla john, pam, jamie, danielle, brad, ms. courtney, etc (the people who've been at the bookstore for a long time lrdy) talk about who of the temps they'd want to "keep" working @ d bookstore.. so wen i overheard this, i found out that it's actually possible that they 'let me go' (aka fire me =S ..) after RUSH .. but thanks to God's favor, my hard work has definitely paid off.. ^^ .. let's just say i think they'll keep me.. ^^ .. which would be TOTALLY AWESOME esp. for this 1st year cuz being that i can't drive yet and it would be easier not just for me but for cla tito joel and tita jinky too since they dont have to pick me up after skul to bring me to work in a different place... (noting that my job @ d bookstore is on-campus) =D

nyweiz... XD .. after that whole episode at the bookstore, i made my way to find where my 1st class was gonna be.. ENC 1101 .. it was @ building 39, rm. 2039 .. wen i got there there were already a couple of students there waiting.. the classroom is small.. cguro mga 20-25 lng kmi dun sa class.. it turns out that we did have a prof lrdy (i explained kc in the last post na i felt that nothing would happen sa class na 2 kc la pang announced na prof XD .. abviously i thought wrong XD ..) .. his name is Wayne Francis.. ..

wen class started, he handed out a course syllabus.. we discussed it a bit and ung mga requirements for the class (a few of which was 4-1000 word essays, 2-1000 word in-class essays XD .. beat that XD ..,) tpos may quiz na kaagad sa wednesday (topic is ung syllabus XD ..).. we did an activity where we got a\ partner and asked each other's name and then u hav to introduce him/her to the class, (not the usual introduce urself to the class thing..) .. tpos later in the class, Mr. Francis showed us a video on Youtube XD about how the Ms. Teen USA South Carolina contestant answered the question that was asked to her in the pageant.. we discussed this.. etc etc.. mainly the point is that the class' purpose is to develop critical thinking.. the whole writing part about it is just the application and expression of that critical thinking..

this class looks like it's gna be an OK class ;) ^^ .. it has its seriousness to it, but it has its intimacy to it (kc small class) and u can kinda feel its potential to be a fun class ^^

after this, 1 hour break.. i went to d bookstore, got my lunch, prepared my lunch, and ate my lunch XD .. i was having trouble finding a table XD .. so i just ended up asking someone if i can sit where he was.. his name was kenneth.. ^^ .. nyweiz, after that, i got my books from my brand new locker ( ^^ ) and went to the library to explore and see what's there ^^ .. the library has 4 floors (bengga XD ..) .. it has books of course, a lot of computers, a media library, cd players, solitary desks (aka a desk with walls so you can't be disturbed XD ..), a starbucks! , etc.. XD .. in short, THE WORKS .. niceness XD ^^ (forgive all the "ness" words 2day btw XD ..)

so during this break, i used one of the computer there a bit (w/ SUPER BILIS internet btw :> ..) .. i even made a post on my multiply guestbook and blog cbox while i was there XD .. it just felt so freedom-ish XD .. so aun.. it's cool ^^ .. i can do my internet stuff ther wen im bored.. XD

after this, i went on to my STA class.. here i sat with Bobby, who also goes to my ENC class as well.. the instructor's an Indian (not to be racist but just to note her difficulty in speaking english =S .. which myt be a bit of a prob come lecture tym =S ..) .. her name is Pali Sen.. the room is a huge place (i think it can seat about 100 students.. @_@ ..).. so un.. =D

2 bummers was 1. ung her being not so well an english speaker, and 2. the bummer that we all bought ung package sa bookstore na sobrang kapal na may study guide and lecture cd asyd from the book tpos un pala, ung book lng required nya.. wamp.. XD

ung sa english speaking nya, nkaka-awang nakakatawa nga nun e XD cuz there were just some times where she'd say something that wouldn't make much sense pero gets p rin namin XD .. bsta.. XD .. di ku ma-explain .. XD .. even the simplest and normalest (forgive the coined word XD ..) phrases would become funny XD .. ewan q ba.. XD .. bsta comedy XD .. pero i think it's gna be an ok class.. ^^ .. we actually tackled some stuf today that we tackled sa stat natin nung 4th yr.. ung mga population, sample, qualitative, quantitative, discrete, continuous, etc..

nyweiz after this class, break ulit.. i hanged out ulit sa library, re-wrote the notes i made kc super messy nd pangit sulat (4 na buwan ba namang ndi nagsusulat XD ..), tpos used the computer agen =D

aftr that, i passed by the bookstore to load off my heavy heavy stat stuf XD, got my psych book, then went to my PSY class.. i sat next to a filipino guy hehe.. ^^ so aun we talked a bit.. ^^ .. he's a sophie.. a member of the Pre-Med Society (which i myt join if the Lord convicts me to going into med skul ^^ ..) .. his name is Mel ^^ .. hehe pinoy-ness XD ..

nyweiz, the instructor of the class is Minor Chamblin .. he discussed the course syllabus, grading system etc, (i wont explain that anymore since sobrang haba na XD .. maybe next tym ;) ..), etc etc .. he had a power point presentation and evrything.. which was nice ^^ .. it seems like he's very serious bout his teaching.. so yeah.. i think it's gna be an OK class too ^^ ..

at some point in the class, Mr. Chamblin was talking about this guy who cursed his prof saying "No you stupid s** o* a b***h" cuz he thought differently than the prof.. pero the thing is, ung prof liked him so much cuz he thought critically and had his own views and perspectives (though he was too 'in your face' about it XD ..) .. again (like sa ENC class ku) the point was critical thinking which is going to be a focus of the class.. la lng.. XD .. i just cant forget how he said the word b***h like he did.. XD .. solid e XD

nyweiz, this class ended early, mga 3:50 instead of 4:15 .. so i made my way to the bookstore to drop off my stuf and maybe just hang out a library till 4:30 for work.. pero wen i got there, i askd if i can clock in early, and since they were being so smothered with people XD, pumayag cla hehe ^^ .. kht 30 mins early aq mag clock-in XD

so aun.. then basically, it was just work till 7:30 .. =D

and THAT was MY 1st day of school .. the 1st page of this new chapter in my life.. College.

hmm lemme make some views on some stuf..

it is SO different here.. iba lng tlga ung feel sobra.. ung feeling of independecy, and ung feeling of kanya-kanya ness.. you see people in pairs, only a few in groups of 3 or more, tpos so many just on their own which makes me feel that im not alone being alone.. which is y i was hardly nervous going into today despite feeling a bit excited and nervous in the past days of anticipation (na ndi din naman maxado ganun ka-major cuz thanks to work, i was there evryday anyway)..

college here is not like high school or even college sa pinas where may mga block at least whom you have the same sked w/ @ least for the sem.. d2 iba e.. kanya kanyang sked.. there would only be a handful or even less of people who goes to more than 1 same class as you.. you get the feeling din na evrybody has their own business.. may kanya-kanya clang lakad besides class..

the whole friends thing, it seems like it's not gonna be as automatic finding friends whom i could be as close with as im close to you guys. i mean, yeah sure i socialize w/ people nd all that, sa class, sa work, i talk to whoever etc etc, i sat w/ some1 at lunch, was with @ least one person in each class i had today, pero i haven't gotten anybody whom i can hang out with freely u knw wat i mean..? i mean dyan kc, i knw u guys have blocks nd all which is why you can easily make a few friends quick and after just a few weeks or less, may grupo k na b4 u knw it..d2 kc parang there's that feeling na ndi kcng linaw mangyari un because of what i just explained above.. xenxa na i cant really explain it too well.. bsta ganun nga..

on the other hand of this whole friend situation, im at peace about it cuz i know that God will assign friends to me.. ^^ .. pero till then, i just gotta wait.. know im kinda expecting things too fast.. i knw my friends will come.. pero that's just how it kinda feels ryt now.. then agen, we'll see.. ;)

dont wori bout it ya'll.. specially mom n dad.. cguro nga i just miss having the companionship and security of having a friend i can just go to anytym, u knw wat i mean..? i mean, it's been 2 months nd it kinda kicks in once in a while .. =| .. but im fine ^^

tomorrow's the 1st day of skul! my 1st day of college!!! waaaaaaaa XD

man, it's a mixed up feeling of nervousness, anxiety, and excitement XD

i hope n pray that tomorrow and this whole 1st week of skul will turn out great.. sana talaga =D .. pray for me plz =D

i just got my things ready, read the course syllabi for my BSC and PSY classes (la pa kc ung sa STA- statistics tska ENC- english/college writing) , and im all set! .. here i go!!! *_* XD =D

i have a wierd feeling na walang mangyayari on my 1st class tomorrow (which is ENC) .. ndi pa kc announced ung instructor / prof for this class tska ndi din pa nakakarecieve ng information ung bookstore on what books the professor (whoever he/she is XD ..) requires for the class.. @_@ .. so aun.. feeling ku lng naman.. then agen, malay ku dba? XD

i haven't told you guys how my work sked is gna be though i knew it already since nung wednesday pa =D .. that's cuz i wanted to talk to ms. darla and ask if i can cancel the morning shift for my tuesdays (i believe is told u guys bout this na in a previous post =D ..) .. i got to talk to her the other day and pumayag nmn xa.. yay! ^^ XD .. thanks ms. darla!!! =)

so my schedule for work is gonna be like this.. :

that tuesday morning shift i canceled was supposed to be 8:00 am - 12:00 nn .. i didn't feel so good about it, cuz i don't want to have to jump from work to class then back to work.. @_@ .. i wanted to leave that time free for me to do whatever stuf i need to do in the morning.. (hw's study time etc.. i may even decide to make it a standard day in the week for me to exercise.. we'll see.. =D ..)

every saturday, the bookstore is open from 10 to 4 pero ang nakalagay is 9:45 - 4:30 cuz it takes about 15 mins to open the store and can max up to 30 mins to close the store.. la lng.. just thought i'd mention =D

hmmm.. nu pa ba..? :-/

whooopeee! i got my 1st paycheck today! ^^

but b4 i begin blabbing XD, just wanna make a greeting =D

it's her bday this 24th of august.. hehe =D .. nyweiz.. .. .. =P

this paycheck was just for last week's work which totalled 34.39 clocked-in hours out of the 36 hours i supposedly worked since they subtract pala the time you take on your breaks and if you clock out early and stuff lyk that.. so in short, talagang strict cla w/ the time you put in.. =D .. if your shift is 9 to 7 but you clock out at 6:30 instead of 7, bawasado ung 30 mins na un sa oras mu.. i guess that was the case with this.. i was expecting 36 hours worth of work pero i gues it just turned out to be 34.39 pero minus na ung breaks and ung early clock-outs.. bale, i get paid for every minute i work and don't get paid for every minute i don't work.. =D

here's the math =D ...

minimum wage [$6.67] / hour times [34.39] hours minus mga [30] dollars of tax = :> ;) :> ;) :>

6.67 x 34.39 - 30 = ***.** .. =)

and that's just one week of work.. *nudge nudge* .. ^^

ima budget this one into a couple of expenses.. a couple of em is:

maybe a little more clothes for me to wear =D , pabango (dhl naubusan aq =D ..), money to have my guitar checked out and to buy new strings and a bottle of polish, tapos shmpre, 10% tithe to the Lord ^^

i bought my books yesterday and today ^^ .. hinihintay ku n lng na maka-recieve ng information ung bookstore from my prof for my ENC 1101 college writing class para mabili ku na ung books for that class ^^

i also got to see today my regular work sked for wen skul starts.. ill post it na lng wen it;s final.. kakausapin ku pa c ms. darla.. ima ask and see if i can cancel one shift on tuesday.. i gave her 2 avaiable slots kc, one in the morning, and one in the afternun.. 1 b4 and aftr class, not thinking that they really myt actually give me BOTH those slots.. kala ku isa lng.. i wanna cancel one of them para naman medyo mas matimbang ku ung school work-load ku.. i dont wanna have too much of a hard tym.. kng macancel ku nga ung shift na un, ill be working 25 hours a week pero kng ndi ku macancel, it'll be 29 hours. either way, the pay is ok (watta rhyme XD..), pero i just wanna free up my tuesdays a bit para ndi naman aq maxado mahirapan.. tska para 1 work shift lng aq per day =D

also today, (like other days), i met a lot of people.. helpin em out with their books and all.. but today, there was this one guy who looked pinoy (there are other pinoys i see too, but not all of em i get to talk to about our being pinoy-ness.. XD..) .. pero what made me talk to him more was that i noticed he had a pool cue with him.. hehe which was awesome ^^ .. so yeah i guess we kinda clicked there.. we talked a bit etc etc.. bout billiards, our being pinoy, other pinoys on campus, the game room in UNF (where there are a couple of billiard tables) etc etc.. hehe so that was cool ^^ to have been able to connect w/ some1 n ganun ^^

continuing work, i went to the back room and had to do some prepping for some books.. that's number 15. btw on the list of stuf i do @ work =D .. i also did another new thing besides that today.. =D

15. book prep - all i do here is tag them w/ a 99999 sticker, a used book sticker, and a security tag.. tpos what's next done with these books is just locating them and shelfing them..

16. phone voice mails - basically these are the voice messages on all of the phones in the store.. i just had to listen to each message and note the name of the person who called and their number for someone to call them the next day..

so nyweiz, doing #15 right after talkng to that ryan guy, i mentioned it to john/johnathan since he's half pinoy (tpos 1/4 welsh [from wales] and the 1/4 swiss ata un XD [from switzerland]) .. so i told him that i got to talk to that ryan guy tpos that's wat made me and john start talkin about billiards kc he plays pala! hehe niceeee ^^ .. we eventually also talked about guitar cuz he playes that as well too! ^^ .. so aun, click na click tuloy kmi.. XD .. he's the closest friend ive made so far i gues ^^ .. aun.. la lng.. ^^ share ku lng.. just something nice i thought i'd mention ^^ =D =)

nyweiz... my day 2day was real tiring.. yesterday, my shift was 5 n 1/2 hrs and today it was just an hour longer than that and just as busy as yesterday but i feel like i did more tiring jobs today.. jobs that had to do more w/ carrying stuf.. tpos sa sobrang daming stuf that i had to do, i didnt even get to take the 30 min break im entitled to.. XD .. actually, i can get in trouble for that.. >_< .. so next tym ill make sure that wen im given a bunch of things to do, ill say 'hey can i have my break first? =D' .. it's all good.. ;) .. im fyn ^^

hmm.. wat else..? here were some more jobs that i did today that i havent done before.. so to continue where i last left off on the list (in another post =D ..) :

12. boxing - ndi as in manny pacquiao ha XD .. i had to box some books 2day 4 ms. darla.. i just had to count em, make sure they're the right books (match ISBN nmbrs), box em, nd label the boxes..

13. shelfing finished SODA orders - this is the last step after pulling SODA orders and packaging them.. basically it's just putting the orders in the shelves at the back room .. the packages are numbered so they have to be placed on the shelf in order..

14. linis banyo - XD .. dirty work i know.. pero k lng ^^ ;) ..

well nyway, i gues that's pretty much it for now.. im drained.. XD .. ima rest now..

there goes another string.. XD

just broke another string today.. actually.... i broke one yesterday too.. haha XD .. that's 2 strings in 2 days.. 1 per day XD .. galing galing XD .. 2day, i was trying to tighten the truss rod a bit.. in the process of doing so, you have to loosen the strings 1st.. then after tightening it, you tune the strings back to pitch.. so after a couple times of doing so, boing! XD .. there goes the 3rd string..! XD .. thus, by also counting the one i broke the last time (in another post), my guitar now only has 3 strings.. wonderful (sarcastic).......... XD

ima try a different type of strings next tym i get to buy.. screw the EXP's.. "lasts longer" my butt XD .. yeah sure.. lasts long...... IF IT MANAGES NOT TO GET BROKEN.. XD.. ima try the D'Addario EJ17's which are the regular phosphor bronze strings.. mas mura pa .. it's only $5.50 compared to the "longer lasting" EXP's priced at 13 bucks XD

nyweiz, since my last post, basically ang nagyari lang was that it was my day off nung thursday, i worked friday 9-7, tpos kahapon (saturday), i worked more or less from 10-4.. today, we just went to church this morning.. tpos mamaya uli..

my sked for this week @ work is way different than that of last week.. monday 3:00 - 8:30, tuesday 2:00 - 8:30, wednesday to friday 2:00 - 9:30, then saturday 11:00 - 8:30.. a total of 39 and 1/2 hours..

that's pretty much it for now.. ^^

ok wait before i start, i just wanna make some greetings .. =D

yesterday was her bday.. =D .. nyweiz.. XD ..

yesterday was pretty much the same as today..

i do feel significantly more comfortable w/ the people im working with though, which is cool ^^ .. also, i'm more familiar with the work too.. there were some stuff that i did today though that i didn't do though.. =D

so to continue yesterday's list of sub-jobs / duties .. :

8. floorstacks - in the morning this is what i did.. there were SOOOO MANY (like mga 200 or so) copies of the Biology book for BSC 1010C (w/c is one of the classes im goin to, thus im gna need one of these..) that just came in.. so since ndi na malagay sa shelf ung mga ibang copy nung book na 2, i made floorstacks of em..

9. online orders / pulling books - what i do here is that i have a bunch of papers w/ lists of books on em and all i have to do is get them, check em off the list, put em all together, and put w/ it the paper where it was listed..

10. SODA - i forgot what this stands for XD .. but this is more of a back-room computer job.. this is the next step after doing online orders... the online orders / pulled books get put in te back room where it is packed for picking up.. what i had to do was look up the orders in the computer system, make sure the books are right, make adjustments if needed (like if there are only new books when what was requested was a used book), then confirm it, something will print up, then while the comp does that, i pack the books, put em in a plastic, get the printed papers, staple em together, and put em in the bag together w/ the books.. then lastly, i label the packages w/ the last 5 nmber's of its web order number then shred the paper list that was used for pullin the books (wee i get to use the shredder.. what a thrill.. XD ..)

11. mopping the floors - haha XD .. since i stayed all the way till closing agen, i mopped the floors this tym, instead of vacuuming.. XD

that's pretty much most of wat i did 2day i guess XD .. tomorrow im off work, so ill just rest, do my chores, and whatever else i need to do / want to do, if time allows me to.. XD

whoo! what a day! XD

lemme see.. let's start off with last night..

last night i was trying to do this online training course thing that courtney (my manager) instructed me to do.. so i went to the site, created an account, and wen i get to the page aftr i log in where it says "Please click here for the list of available courses", wen i click on the link.. nothing happens.. i was guessing that something was wrong wth d site or sum'n.. i was kinda worried cuz i didn't really know how important it was to be able to do this course before i can actualyl work.. i tried calling courtney but the number on her business card is not a personal number.. and since bookstore hours were over, i couldnt contact her.. after trying different things, and trying over and OVER to get goin w/ d online training course, and yet it still wouldnt work, i decided that i wake up early in the morning to see if it'll work..

zzzzz...

next morning, gues what! ....... it still didnt work.. hahaha XD .. so as soon as the clock ticked 8 o clock w/c was the time that the store opened, i called the bookstore to ask about it.. the person hu answered said that i can just come in anyway and i can get set-up there..

bale by this tym, mga 8:10 na.. tpos i gotta leave in about 20-30 mins! so... SUPER RUSH! .. plantsa damit, ligo, bihis. ayos gamit, all in record time XD ..

i got to work on time and what 1st happened was that i spoke to ms. darla, who is anothe rmanager at the bookstore.. i askd her about the training course thing but she said that's something courtney can help me out with.. un nga lng, courtney was skeduled to come in at 10:30 pa! .. so she set me up na so i can just start workin kc sayang nga nmn ung oras.. so she made me a name tag, i got myself an apron, she taught me how to punch my work card in, sowed me where 'the cage' was so i can put my bag in it, and off i went!

these were the different stuff i had to do.. sub-jobs, if u will, kc nobody is really assigned to do only one thing.. evrybody does everything XD ..

1. overstock - this was the 1st thing i did.. overstock is as what the word says: "over-stock" .. ito ung mga sobra na books which are put on shelves arramged alphabetically according to 1st letter of 1st author's name.. these are excess books, being that the regular shelves are full already so ung sobra goes here.. what i had to do was get the list of authors, go thru each of the excess books, match em up w/ what's on the list, find where it is on the regular shelves, and put a yellow sticker on the shelf tag of that book, which meant na kapag ubos na ung from the regular shelves, someone can re-stock em by getting the books from the overstock shelves..

2. running the books - basically what this is is stocking up the shelves with books from the "back room" .. this room is the employees only room where the shipments of the books are recieved.. people working in the back room would get the books out of the boxes, count them up, and label them with its correct course number (e.g. ENC 1101 80000) so it can be put up on the shelves.. so my job was to get these books from the room and put em on the shelves.. another simple job..

3. filling the gaps - this is a more general job which also involves restocking the shelves but the purpose of this is mostly to exhaust the books on 'floor stacks' .. these are stacks of books na there are SO MANY of em, na it has to be stacked up on the floor.. so para naman mabawasan ung mga books from d floor stacks, u gotta get them and put it on the shelf where it's supposed to be if there is space for it..

4. loading the pallette - what this is is basically stacking boxes of books that are to be returned (i think) on a wooden platform called a pallette, and wraping the WHOLE thing with plastic wrap so as to make sure that the boxes won't move..

5. buybacks - buybacks are the books that the store buys back from the students for re-selling as used books.. what i had to do was separate the wholesale books from the retail books.. then i had to put the wholesale books on the shelves in the back room.. ung mga retail naman, these are the more ready ones for stocking the shelves up as used books.. there were only 5 retail books from the whole stack of books that i did.. what i had to do with this was basically just put some stickers on em and poof! it became koko krunch! ..... ok it didnt but it was ready for stocking XD ..

6. vacuuming - hahaha XD .. since i was staying all the way till closing, wen it was near closing time, i just vacuumed the merchandise / gift stuff area of the store.. .. .. and ON TOP of all this was...

7. helping customers - this i had to do while doing all these other things.. wen somebody looks like they're lost and they can't find their book, i just help em out to look for it.. this was cool kc i got to meet some people who needed the same books i need, thus not only making me know what books i need for my classes, but also letting me know of some people who myt go to the same class i will.. ^^

sub-jobs i haven't gotten a taste of:
- customer service counter, back room duty, and cashier..

co-workers i got to know the names of today: deryk, brad, vickie, john/jonathan, megan, nicole 1, nicole 2, kaci, danielle, ms. cathy, ms. darla, ms. courtney..

my lunch break was a 30 minute lunch break from 12:30 - 1:00.. but actually, ms darla let me do it earlier, so i did it from 12:15 - 12:45..

my sked for this week is 9-7 everyday till friday except thursday (im off on thursday / no work on thursday.. yay XD ..) tpos on saturday, 9:45 - 4:30..

and basically.. that's work.. XD

my 1st day of work.... is tomorrow XD

XD .. it turns out it wasn't going to be my 1st day today .. XD

it was mostly just filling out some paperwork, orientation, and a tour around the store and to the inside rooms that are for employees only..

when i got there, there was only one other person there with me.. her name is stephanie.. courtney, the manager of the bookstore (who is actually filipino XD ..), had us start doing our paperwork lrdy.. 1st was to fill a form giving the hours we're available to work, w/ consideration already of class schedule.. then next was a paper that was just to make a written agreement on the proper dress code (bad trip bawal maong XD ..) .. and last was a tax form.. while all this was happening, 2 more people came, brandy and blaire, tpos they did the same thing.. then the tour, being introduced to the different people already employed at the bookstore.. then lastly, we were just made to write on a piece of paper (a post-it-note nga lng actually XD..) the hours we can work for the next two weeks which are the last 2 weeks before school starts.. so 4 d next 2 weeks ima be workin 9am-7pm mon-fri tpos this saturday, 10am - 4pm, then next saturday, 9am - 4pm.. XD .. that's just how it is XD .. wen skul starts it'll be all different nmn e.. my shifts on most of my skul days is just 3-4 hours, except on saturday where i work opening till closing..

basically guys, what i need from you is prayer.. pray that the work wont be too difficult, stressful, or tiring, and that it won't be too hard to juggle with school.. also, pray that i will still have time have 'me' time, where i can still be able to rest, relax, do things i want to do, and also, TIME FOR ME TO STILL BE ABLE TO KEEP IN TOUCH WITH YOU GUYS ..

tomorrow is gonna be my first day and the completion of training.. i hope and pray it'll be smooth.. =) ^^

Binyag ni Diego. ^-^

it was Diego's Christening yesterday (Christening = binyag / baptism) .. Diego is the son of Tito Yancy who is the cousin of my mom and anak of Tito Boy who is the brother of my grandma.. =D

bale yesterday (saturday), the morning was pretty much like any morning.. after lunch, around 1, tita jinky brought me to Target in the Towncenter (Target is like a grocery and department store in one kind of a place XD ..) .. i bought some stuff for skul, more specifically, a backpack, and a lunch-carrier thingy, tpos some khaki pants and a belt for me to wear to work.. i paid for the pants and the belt (w/ my own money) while tita jinky paid for the rest (thanks tita jinky ^^ ..) .. the pants and belt stotalled $48.97 so i paid it with the 50 bucks i earned from babysitting Jon-jon (Tito Jeric and Tita Maricel's son) .. hehe it was totally worth it ^^ :> *smug* .. (50 bucks is a PRETTY HIGH paycheck for one day of babysitting) XD .. so that was awesome ^^ thanks tito jeric and tita maricel! =)

nyweiz after the shopping at target, we stopped by quickly at the Christian store in the Towncenter to get a gift for Diego.. (this is my 1st tym to go to this store) .. we got a Bible w/ his name lettered into it and a pillow to go with it.. ^^ .. while waiting for Diego's name to be written into the Bible, i looked around and saw that they sold some TOTALLY SWEET stuff XD .. they sell lots of cool cd's, most of the stuff ive been posting on my multiply and been listening to recently =D , they sell cool T-shirts w/ Christian statements on it and such, they sell baller-type bands (i plan to buy 1 =D ..) that r cool, (ima buy the one w/ the WWJD on it =D ..), different types of bibles, cards, stationaries, toys, stuffed toys, and stuf u can decorate ur house with.. hehe ^^

after the trip to Life Way (d Christian store), me nd tita jinky went home.. wen i got home, i fixed my newly bought stuf (=D ..) and packed some clothes to stay over at tita norie's .. then tita norie picked me up and we all went to d binyag (except cla tita jinky and tito joel cuz they were gonna go somewhere)..

at d place of the binyag w/c was a church/school (there are quite a couple of places here like that - na church / and school xa in 1 ..), we went to this room where the dinner after the binyag was gnabe held.. we hung out there till the mass was finished then aftr the mass was Diego's binyag.. nice ^^

after the Christening itself, dinner time! XD .. kainan baybeh! XD .. palabok, kanin, lechon, ETC XD .. hehe puro filipiino food ^^ .. so yeah it was nice to eat filipino fud agen XD .. then aftr the dinner and all, we went to tito yancy's new house..

awesome new house man! :> .. we just hung out a bit.. more famil people mingling with other family people XD .. then maya2, we left na rin..

it was quite a drive goin home.. they are a bit far from us, about 45 minutes away.. wen we got home, i made one last video b4 i slept.. then slept.. XD

let's see.. how do i start? XD

hmm, since my last post which was my poem ( =D ..) , quite a couple of things has happened..

it was my mom's birthday nung friday, aug. 3 .. Happy Birthday Mom! =) .. and not only that but another thing happened that day too :> .. Adrian Adam was born! ^^ .. Adrian is my Uncle Amor and Tita Maricar's baby.. bale magka-birthday na cla ni mom.. hehe cool B-) ^^ .. a brand new addition to the family, which is awesome ^^ .. that makes 4 - 1st cousins now XD .. james, becca, cole, and adrian ^^

nung saturday, it was James' black belt test.. hehe it was cool ^^ .. there were dozens and dozens of people who were testing in total.. for different belts.. there was only 3 who were testing for black belt, including james.. there were also a few testing for 2nd degree black belt.. the rest were testing for the lower belts: yellow, green, blue, red, etc..

James had to do his forms (which is basically the term for all his moves XD..) , he had to spar 6 or 7 people including one instance where he had to fight 2 at a tym, and then he broke a couple of boards.. hehe stiigeningz XD .. i gues it's obvious he can kick my butt if he wanted to XD

nung sunday, la nmn maxado nangyari.. i ran in the morning as exercise tpos we went to church in the morning and at night.. and in between, we ate lunch at an applebees, where the food was good but the service totally SUCKED XD .. our food took forever, tpos wen Tita Jinky got her food, it wasn't as she ordered.. something happened in the kitchen pa.. tpos the people were.. ewan q.. basta.. XD

nung monday, nung umaga, me and tito joel cut the grass.. nung hapon, me, tita norie, becca, and james bought supplies for school (since it's 0% tax on school stuff this week *smug* :> ..) and bought shoes at the shoe store in the towncenter.. tita norie bought me running shoes.. YAY! XD thanks tita norie! =) ^^ .. that's great since i might run regularly now since la aqng kahit anong form of exercise.. exercise was never something i had to worry about for 6 years since i was varsity and that was my main exercise XD .. but now that i aint, and also since wala akong PE class, i have to establish my own exercise schedule.. im not sure of how my exercise sched is gna be yet.. pag lam q na work sked ku, then ill know.. ;)

yesterday, biniyagan ku kaagad ung shoes that tita norie gave XD .. hehe ^^ .. i ran again nung umaga and used my new shoes XD it's great! ^^ .. the rest of the day wla aqng ginawa.. in fact nung hapon, i even had a nap wen i ran out of things to do XD .. yesterday was a bummer, not just bcuz of that but mainly bcuz nung gabi, naputol ung 2nd string ng guitar ku.. =( .. amperz nga e.. naputol ung string while i was turning the knob PALUWAG.. huwaaaatsap widddat!?!? i was gna play a song kc where all strings were toned dones 1/2 a step.. by the time i was tuning down the 2nd string, un na.. *toing!* .. putol! XD.. bummer... tapos may naiwan na konting part nung string at the head of the guitar.. so in the process of taking it out, my finger got pricked and it bled.. XD .. it went pretty deep.. by this tym, xmpre nmn banas na aq.. XD .. so i just chilled out till i eventually slept na..

today, SUPER AWESOME NEWS!!!!!!!! i got a call from Courtney who is the UNF Bookstore manager.. and gues what! ... I GOT THE JOB!!! YAY!!!!! SUPER DUPER SAYA!!! SUPRA SAYA!!! XD .. ive totally been bumming out pa naman recently wen im bored XD .. so this is an awesomely answered prayer.. ^^ .. God answered back the bummer that happened the previous night with this.. i guess He heard me wen i kept asking, "Why!? Why Lord why!?! those strings havent even been with me for a month and already it gives in..!" hehe super awesome! ^^ .. thank you Lord! =)

im going to the UNF bookstore on monday for my 1st day in training.. i can't wait! ^^ .. im so stoked! ^^

1stof all, on Tuesdays, I only have 1 class which is cool..on Mondays and Wednesdays, I have 1-hour breaks between classes giving me time to eat, study, and prepare for my next class.. on Thursdays, I have 3 hours between my bio lab and bio lec.. tapos on Fridays, my day ends at around 2, which means I can work from then on for however long considering that the next day is a Saturday anyway.. my only early day is Thursday and my latest time out of school is 4:15..

keep in mind though that my work hours isn’t incorporated into this schedule yet.. if I can only work 15 hour work weeks, i’ll distribute the hours to my Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays where I’m most free to work.. BUT, if I can work more than 15 hours per week, more specifically if I get a job on-campus @ UNF, then I might be working in the morning, too.. so I don’t wanna be too happy about my schedule yet.. but if just school hours are concerned, it’s a great sked.. ^^

Swoop~!!(My Freshman Orientation!)!!~ (Part 2)

wahahaha >=) .. 1st part pa lang yon! XD .. here's the 2nd part ^^

bale after registration, we were led to the next part of the session which was in a smaller place than ung theatre earlier.. basically more speakers..

one speaker who spoke about GREEK life.. anybody know the show GREEK? which is about this parang geeky guy who joins a fraternity, gets forced to do crazy stuff, etc etc.. im not sure if this show is out lrdy but if you've even at least just seen the commercials of it you'd have more of an idea of how greek life is.. also, there's a show on MTV, ung reality show on fraternities and sororities, ung mga initiation, brotherhood, etc.. maybe this one some of you guys know about..

anyways, basically, greek life is ung nga.. life in a fraternity or a sorority.. ndi ung mga gang type frats ha.. it's ung college fraternities and sororities.. names of the frats and sororities here are ung mga greek symbols like ung mga tipong alpha, beta, omega, theta, epsilon, sigma, upsilon, lambda, zeta, etc.. for example, there's a fraternity named DELTA UPSILON and there's a sorority named DELTA SIGMA THETA.. there are 18 diff. fraternities and sororities, some all white, some all black, some mixed, etc.. it sounds interesting but Tita Jinky, Tito Joel, Tita Norie, Mom and Dad are not for it so ill just respect that.. so to let ya knw, im not joining ;)

there was a speaker who talked about general info about their department, some staistics, about majors etc.. nothing much.. after he spoke, he askd some questions and gave away some prizes: a shirt, 2 lollipops, and a bar of hersheys =)) .. i raised my hand but unfortunately, never got picked XD..

another speaker talked about sex safety.. ung mga tipong what to do if someone passes out at a party, safety tips, blah blah.. it's funny cuz there's actually a building sa UNF where you can get free condoms XD .. "condoms and coffee" pa nga ang sabi.. XD .. nice combination noh? hahah XD

and then there was this part of the session where we played a game.. they threw around a beach-ball.. u have to catch it if it comes to you, introduce yourself, say where your from, your major if you know i already, then answer the question of the person who threw it, ask your own question, and finally, throw it for someone else to catch it..

unfortunately again, the ball never came to me XD

next was how to SWOOP XD .. this is where the whole swoop thing came in.. XD if you havent read the post before this, the swoop is the flapping-of-the-wings kinda action OSPREYS do.. OSPREYS are birds of prey (meaning, predators of prey) that is ung parang animal ng UNF.. or something XD

they 1st showed a video about how different people around the campus do their swoop.. hehe it was funny ^^ .. comedy XD .. then, they taught US how to swoop.. it's kinda hard to explain how to do it, basta basically it's like a single flap of the wings.. so we all stood, did it, and felt funny doing it XD .. this was a nice ice breaker aside from the game hehe ^^

after this was another video about ung mga facilities ng UNF.. UNF's got some pretty nice facilities ^^ .. aside from ung mga tipong, football field, basketball court, soccer field, track stadium kinda thing, there's also an athletics center, gym and pool, game room which has a billiard table and EVEN A LAN ROOM (dota anybody? XD..), and even a 3 hole golf course and skate park! XD .. not to mention, may starbucks pa sa library XD

after the video, lunch time na.. ^^

bummerly, during this whole time nung umaga, i havent made much socializing.. i havent made any friends, and ive only talked to a couple of people.. it was kinda wierd kc everybody was as nervous as i was.. at the theatre, u wouldnt see a full row of seats filled.. there were spaced in between almost every kid.. only a few came to orientation already with a friend, probably some1 they knw from HS, or their roommate or watever..sadly, nobody was friendly enough to approach me and make social contact or whatever, or maybe they were just nervous like me.. pero aq eventhough i was nervous through some parts, i still tried to reach out and talk to people.. kht papanu i made some sort of soocialization nung umaga but not as much as i was hoping it was gna be.. =|

so wen it was lunch, i was hoping for something better.. bale the food tables were set outdoor tpos u just had to line up and get your own food (choice of either hotdog or burger XD..) ^^ .. so wen i looked for a seat, there was a bench where a guy was sitting.. so i askd if anybody was sitting there, he said no, so i sat down.. im not sure who it was, but i think i made the 1st move to start a conversation..

finally, some socializing! XD .. we had a pretty good talk.. his name is Mike.. we talkd about various stuff, high school, his work, my being 16 years old, etc.. XD .. i dont wanna go into the details anymore basta we had a nice talk ;)

after we ate, we got a drink, askd where we had to go next, then went back to sitting on the bench XD .. while we were eating and talking pa lng, there were already some dudes playing football and soccer on the green so we joined em pagkatapos kumaen.. ^^ .. basically nagpasa-pasahan lng kmi.. sipa sipa.. tpos maya2 others joined ^^ .. hehe it was nice to be able to just fit in somehow and be amongst fellow ospreys ^^

aftr that, nung time na for the next session, bumalik kmi ng andrew robinson theatre where our last sessions were.. it was nice na at least from this point on, meron na aqng ksma and ndi nmn aq lonely mclonesome XD .. i sat with mike.. basically, speakers ulit.. talked about the more parent-should-know type of stuff, like financial aid, payment of tuition, cashier's office info, etc.. thing was, la na c Tito Joel and bumalik na sa bahay XD .. so i just took down notes and stuff.. buti naman i got to know everything i needed too know.. ^^

after that, there were some skits by the swoop squad that was again, about ung mga tipong partying and stuff lyk that, applying more to those who're gna live on campus..

last part was basically just some question and answer with the swoop squad.. so aun.. it was nice to get wisdom from the upper-classmen ^^ .. after that, it was around 4 o clock na and we were then dismissed ^^

and that was my freshman orientation.. ^^ it was pretty good i gues =)

hmm lemme see.. this is gonna be a long one XD

la nmn maxado nangyari this week.. basically, i was just anticipating my orientation which was to be at the end of the week (Friday, which right now, is yesssterday XD..) .. i pretty much just stayed home, went to UNF nung Wednesday for my 2nd and last immunization shot, and went to SJT's (St. John's Towncenter - it's an outdoor mall near Tita Jinky's) with Tito Joel nung Tuesday.. (yay! i got 2 new shirts from Banana Republic XD.. thanks Tito joel and Tita Jinky ^^ ..)

highlight of the week: SWOOPAPALOOZA - MY FRESHMAN ORIENTATION AT UNF ^^

it's called Swoopapalooza because ung parang animal thingy ng UNF is an OSPREY which is a bird.. XD .. bale, students of UNF are called OSPREYS and what do OSPREYS do? they SWOOP XD (mimicking the flap of their wings XD ..)

kinda ironic kc despite the name osPREY,ospreys are actually predator-type birds XD

it was Tito Joel who went with me to Orientation.. iba kc d2, parents are encouraged to come to orientation.. though students can go to orientation on their own, we both agreed that i should have a parent their with me.. kaso ang nangyari din naman, nung umaga p lng after the 1st session, naghiwalay na kmi ni Tito Joel and then sinundo n lng nya aq at the end of the day XD .. but anyways, lemme get into the details =D

we left early in the morning around 7:20 or 7:30, got a quick bite to eat then went to the orientation.. wen we got their, we walkd from the parking lot to the Andrew Robinson Theatre, building 14A, where i got my id for orientation, etc.. pasok kmi ng theatre tpos ito na ung 1st session.. basically it was all just basic talk, a couple of professors spoke to the freshmen, gave info about the need-to-know-about's like ung One Stop Student Service Center, ung Academic Center for Excellence (ACE), ung MyWings account of each student (which is ung online student account) etc.. tapos, the SWOOP SQUAD (sound funny? XD..) introduced themselves.. they are juniors and seniors (although sophomore ung leader nung group where i was in) who were gonna assist in the orientation and lead the groups to the later sessions..

bale after the 1st session, naghiwalay na lahat ng mga freshman into groups.. there were about 80-100 students and there were about 5 or 6 groups.. each group was named after a movie XD aq, i was is the SHREK group (hi shek! XD..) tpos ung other grps was spiderman, TMNT, 300, etc.. hehe ^^ .. tpos each group was split into a sub-group A and a sub-group B .. i was in the A grp so kami ung pina-register for classes 1st

time-out saglit! XD

d2 kc u can fix your own schedule and you register for your own classes.. d2, ung tinatawag natin dyan sa pinas as "COURSES", here, is called "MAJORS" .. d2, ang courses are individual classes like english, math, etc.. d2, a full time student must be enrolled to at least 12 credit hours.. each COURSE is either 3 or 4 credit hours.. d2, like some schools satin dyan sa Pinas, it's 2 semesters per year (the FALL sem and the SPRING sem)

basically, these are the differences as far as i know =D

ok game time ulit XD now read carefully if you wanna know how the system of stuff is here.. i commend you in advance if you do so and read evverything that's about to follow.. XD

so we were brought into this classroom type setting, in one of the buildings, where there were computers for you to register.. in the room waiting for us was 1 faculty person and 1 academic advisor.. they were there to help us out register for classes, which take note, IS DONE ONLINE! (xenxa na i forgot their names kc medyo complicated ung mga last names nila XD =D..)

so step one was to choose my COURSES.. for my 1st and 2nd year, i have to finish my GENERAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS which are ung mga basic stuff not so directly associated to your major that everybody takes for their freshman and sophomore years..

included in these GEN ED REQ are:

9 CH (Credit Hours) for English,
6 CH for Math,
9 CH for the Humanities,
6 CH for Social Studies, and another
6 CH for the Natural Sciences..

for me to be a FULL TIME student, i need at least 12 credit hours for this 1st semester which is equivalent to 4 classes.. so, i have to choose 1 class each for 4 of the 5 subjects above..

DAPAT may isa from english, DAPAT may is from math, and then course 4 and 5 can be from any of the remaining 3 (humanities, social studies, natural sciences)

for my ENGLISH - i chose ENC 1101: College Writing .. this is my course for english.. i didn't really have any choice actually.. this is the most basic english class and it's 3 credit hours.. unfortunately kc, walang inooffer (that i should have known of if ever) na duel enrollments (DE), international baccalaureates (IB), or advance placement (AP) classes sa OB.. these are classes that you can take that would be recognized by your college as a valid credit.. so if we had this choice in HS, we could have taken advance courses pagdating ng college.. and so, since i don't have this, i just got the most basic course ENC 1101 .. it's only for english that courses are taken in order as you finish each course
for MATH - i chose STA 2014: Elementary Statistics for Health and Social Science.. it's worth 3 credit hours.. this i chose being that im going on the track of becoming something in the medical field, kaya this math course is right for me.. ung isang course, Intermediate Algebra, i would have to take it sa FCCJ pa! the school on the other side of town! so since i don't wanna do this dahil mahihirapan aq, i askd the academic advisor for another option.. she askd what more or less my major is or what my field of interest is for my major.. so when i said, medicine / health, she referred me to this class which is pretty appropriate.. there was another class that was also very appropriate for me which was ung Precalculus na course but ung prerequisite for this class was ung Intermediate Algebra course sa FCCJ.. what i can do is check out next semester if there will be any available intermediate algebra courses ON-campus sa UNF, AND THEN i can do ung Precal.. unfortunately ung Intermedita Algebra course is not included in the list of courses of GEN ED REQ.. meaning, i would just be taking this as an EXTRA course JUST SO THAT i can fo the PRECAL course.. this would be a total of 9 credit hours now samantalang ung required lng nmn is 6.. kaya ang mangyayari, dahil i dont wanna go over the GEN ED REQ dahil ang MAHAL ng tuition ku for this 1st year dahil ndi pa aq florida resident, (im paying 500 dollars per credit hour! instead of 111 dollars if i was already considered a FL resident) ill ask if i can just take another course that does not have a prerequisite and weigh it to see if it's appropriateness is enough to over-weigh the very appropriate PRECAL course.. did i confuse ya? not over yet baby XD
for my 3rd COURSE (which can either be a humanity, SS, or NS) - i got BSC 1010C: General Biolgy I for my Natural Sci class.. nothing really complicated hear.. next sem i will be doing chem naman.. dis bio course is 4 credit hours instead of the regular 3 because aside from the lecture their is also a LAB class which counts as another credit thus making it 4 credits.
for my 4th COURSE - i got PSY 2012: Intorduction to Psychology.. this is a 3 credit hour course.. believe me, this was the most appropriate choice for me since the other choices was sociology, criminology, history, and law-related courses.. for my fourth courses i was also looking at the Humanities courses which are divided into 3 divisions.. ung sa 3rd division, puro mga fine arts type courses ung nandito including ROCK APPRECIATION! YEAH!!! wicked \m/ XD .. unfortunately, because the orientation batch i went to was like the 3rd batch already to be registered, nafill up na ung slots for this course =( .. so what i can do is check if it's available NEXT sem tpos take it then.. :> *smug* hehehe XD

in total, 3+3+4+3.. that's 13 credit hours.. so, im a registered full time student! yay XD .. sobra p nga ng kaunti kc 12 lng ang kelangan to be full time as ive said b4 =D

so after registering, we just filled up a survey and it was on to the next session ^^

for my sked, and later parts of my orientation after registration, ill tell ya about it in another post para ndi maxado mahaba tong post na 2.. XD

man i'm tired.. -.- XD

'It isn't all fun and games here in America..'

Tito Joel always tells me this when he sees me looking all messed up, dirty, and sweaty, when i help him cut the grass or when i do my chores.. XD .. he'd also say.. "Ano Jase? buhay ka pa?" XD

Sure life here in America may be more pleasant compared to the life there in the Phils. but it all comes at a price.. Even though you may think it's wicked awesome to live in a housr like Tita Jinky and Tito Joel's house (which kinda is XD ..), it may not ALWAYS be what you think..

I've worked harder here than I ever have back in the Philippines (referring to house responsibilities =D ..) .. satin kc sa pinas, may mga katulong tau or cleaning ladies, etc.. di tulad d2.. ndi uso ung ganun.. ung mga tipong milyonaryo n may mga mansion ung tipo na may mga maid d2 XD .. but we ain't millionaires.. thus all the responsibilites of having such a nice house is bestowed upon us.. in other words, chores XD

but on a more serious note, we are only stewards to God's blessings and grace.. Tita Jinky and Tito Joel would not have all these great things (like their cars [note the plurality XD..] , the house, and much much more!..) if not for God's goodness.. so it's only right that we take care of these things that comes from Him..

anyways, as i was saying, ive worked harder here sa mga bahay nina Tita Jinky and Tita Norie, than i have ever worked in my home dyan sa Pinas.. we have Ate Eden (our cleaning lady) come every 2 weeks kc.. so i never really had responsibilites in the house as heavy as my responsibilites in Tita JInky's house..

today, i helped Tito Joel cut the grass, i scrubbed the lanai (which is parang ung veranda-ish thingy sa labas..), vacuumed the whole house, did the surface cleaning (punas2 XD..), and cleaned the bathroom, which included the sink, the toilet, and the bathtub...

but you know what.. it's all worth it ^^ .. i dont mind doing all this in exchange for living in such a nice house ^^ (and i made another 20 dollars today.. XD.. ;) :> ^^ .. totalling to an amount of 60 dollars for this whole week! =D ..)

so what is my point?

my point is that you shouldn't think that im living a laid back, pampered, and rich kind of life here.. i have my responsibilities and i do hard work here.. we're talking blood, sweat, and tears man! XD .. w8.. minus the tears pala XD ..

i must admit though, the life here is great; but always remember that it's not as great as you may think.. cuz there's always something missing..

Grampa just passed away.. =((

At around 9:30 (am here, pm there), Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at the age of 74, grampa joined the Lord in Heaven..

His departure is indeed sad but it's good to know that he's relieved of his pain and is now up there, rejoicing in the Lord's awesome presence.. He's in a better place now..

God bless you grampa.. You will surely be missed and I know you'll always watch over us..

hmm let's see...

saturday, bumalik na me from tita norie's to tita jinky's.. ryt now, im back at tita norie's.. im going to babysit becca cuz james is going somewhere tmrw.. i think im getting paid =D .. also, im gonna vacuum their house and get paid for that too XD .. iunno how much im making, but at least im making.. ^^

nung sunday i got to drive the tahoe agen ^^ .. i think (or at least i hope) i did better this time.. XD

yesterday, monday, i helped tito joel cut the grass.. i had to do extra work aside from the edging (and scooping bambi's poop XD..), like pulling weeds, gathering dry leaves, etc.. iunno what it was but we just took so long!! we started around 9:30 and finished at about 1:30 with a 30 min break for lunch though XD .. still, that's like., 3 and a half hours! anyways, though it was SUPER tiring, about as hard as when i mowed tita norie's backyard, it was worth it cuz i got paid =D .. $20 ka-chinggaz XD .. nung gabi we (me and the andres family) went to the dinner bday celeb. of the wife of officer Golan (tita joel's friend) .. nothing special nmn.. kain kain ^^ .. the food was great =D i had the chicken alfredo =D .. after dinner, which was at a place named Olive Garden btw, tito joel picked up james and becca.. they slept over at tita jinky's cuz tita norie had to go somewhere the next day 2 hours south from jax.. so medyo malayo.. kaya nagsleep over cla with us..

today, tuesday, nung 9:30 am, tita jinky accidentally cut cole's finger while cutting his nails.. probably kc gumalaw c cole.. the cut was pretty bad and it bled for hours.. wen it would dry up, he'd hit something with it tpos dudugo ulit.. kapag lagyan nmn ng band aid, he'd bite the band aid off or take it out with his other hand.. so there were a couple of bloody episodes today.. =| .. in the aftrnun, tito joel brought me james becca and cole to dave and busters (D&B's) ^^ .. in just an hour, nakaipon kami ng 1700 tickets! :> .. we registered it to one of our cards and saved it for next time.. ;) .. pgkatapos nun, we picked up bambi from the vet.. then we went home, another bloody episode, we played on the wii then nung gabi, dinner, tita norie got home, sumama na aq with them pauwi, and now im at their place to babysit becca tmrw and do my paid chore XD =D ^^

i gues that's pretty much it..

BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!! XD

it's not good though =( .. knna, i found out that i can't work full tym ngaung summer.. im underage daw kc.. =( .. i planned to work full tym while it was still summer then shift to 15 hours per week pag may pasok na.. para naman i can make a lot habang summer pa.. unfortunately, i can't.. i thought that the waiver was for me to be able to work 40 hour work weeks.. so i askd, "edi what was the waiver for? para san pa ung HS diploma ko??" .. sabi daw, it was just so i can still work kht may pasok na.. it didn't allow me to work a full 40 hours per week.. i can only work 15 hours now.. =| .. oh well.. *sigh*

barnes and noble is busy daw right now kc their's a book launch for the new harry potter book or something.. so ndi p aq maiinterview.. im not sure wen pero i doubt that's it's this week.. so yeah.. bummer.. it got moved again.. well..... i guess this is just the Lord's plan so ill go with it ^^

hehe hey guys =) .. msta? ^^

today wierdly seemed less colorful than usual.. and it's wierd kc i had no idea why.. =|

woke up today at around 10:30.. nag-computer ng onti, maya2, lunch na so kumain kmi.. then yeah fyn, we played a little wii, which was ok i gues.. pero after that, nung nagkanya-kanyang pwesto n kmi, iunno, it just seemed so bland.. =|

5. gibson.com =D , and
6. gibson forums..

after all this, i would go to youtube or play guitar..

usually, i'd survive doing just this over and over.. pero 2day, it just seemed too old for me.. so aun, today was a big low.. =| .. until the end of the day..

at the end of the day, finally some color! XD .. mostly green though haha ^^

i mowed the backyard of tita norie's house today.. grabe man!! matindi!! it hasn't been mowed for like 3 months!! XD .. tapos, with the weather pa lately, na matindi ang araw tapos matindi rin ang ulan, edi:

grass + sunshine + rain = jungle man!!! XD

the grass at some areas of the backyard was knee-high! think jungle.. think amazon! haha XD .. there were lots of shrubs, and vines, and weeds and stuf .. may mga CACTUS pa nga e! haha XD .. also, there's a big slide, a boat, another driving mower na ndi gumagana, and a table thingy in the backyard so i had to mow around under and over these stuf pa XD

and on top of all that, i only used a PUSH MOWER! ndi ung de-drive na mower.. puro kalyo tuloy kamay ku XD .. couple of splinters and scratches too, but it was fine ^^ .. for some reason, after the bland day, mowing the lawn was a relief for me.. =) .. it's not fully finished yet.. i plan to finish it tomorrow.. probably use a leaf blower din to blow away the cut of grass.. there's tons of it scattered all over kc ung ginamit kong mower doesn't collect the grass that it cuts of.. it just spits it to the side XD

gues how much tita norie paid me to do their yard.. $40!!! (ka-ching XD..) .. she wrote it on a check and we're gonna put it in my bank account tomorrow.. ^^

my interview with the manager at barnes & noble (the bookstore place where im gonna work na malapit kela tita jinky) myt be on friday so im probably gonna go bak to tita jinky's already tomorrow.. bukas, im just gonna finish the yard and hang around till the end of the day tapos kapag ihahatid na ni tita norie c james at becca sa taekwondo nila, daan lng kmi saglit sa bangko para ideposit ung $40 tapos ihahatid n nya aq sa bahay ni tita jinky..

pray for me and that the interview goes well ^^ i really wanna start making money so i can start saving up for some.. stuff ;) XD ^^

it's tito joel's new truck which was just bought this year hehe =) .. (xenxa la p pic ng car na 2 sa multiply photos ku kc tita jinky brings it to work evryday so nung araw na nagpicture2 aq sa bahay, it wasn't there :D ..

it was cool kc tito joel has a rep of being real careful and cautious with his stuf kaya him letting me drive the tahoe was a huge expression of trust and respect ^^ thanks tito joel =)

i still have a lot of practicing to do though.. tito joel, being a cop, is very particular w/ the way i should drive.. he wants to erase all my bad habits na nadevelop dyn sa pinas.. i gues the most major thing lng nmn is the crossing of hands wen i steer.. he doesn't like that.. he's teaching me the way they were taught in police training which he claims is how nascar drivers drive :> .. (ooh.. ahh.. XD)

tska iba roads d2.. i gues u can say mas madali magdrive d2, pero there are just some things i have to get used to..

first of all, MAS MABILIS ANG DRIVING D2 IN GENERAL.. mas maraming mga highways d2 and expressways where speed limits are at 70 mph! 110+ kmh! pretty fast considering that we don't often reach these speeds in the areas of manila and makati..

and on top of that, mas maraming malalaking kotse d2.. an accident in the philippines would usually be a car to car bumper hit or side to side sayad dahil sa sikip ng roads.. d2, an accident would involve major damage to the cars, injury, or death.. :-S

also, it's wierd at first driving here kc maninibago ka sa laki ng mga daan, u'd feel na there's this parang free-for-all thing going on kaya road rules are strict here.. but nyweiz, may nothing bad happen at all, god forbid ^^

today, i drove from tita norie's house to grandma's apartment, and back, twice.. bsta magulo p kng i-explain ku ung details so un na un.. XD

after dinner, we brought grandma back to her apartment then hinatid kmi ni james and becca sa taekwondo classes nila where i watched them thru their class.. i didn't know that they've been doing it a long tym lrdy! c james his belt is red advance lrdy which is ung red na may black stripe thru the middle.. he's right below black belt! he's gna take his black belt test in a month.. i hope i get to watch it ^^

nyweiz after their class, we went back home na, played a little wii - their new game which they bought the same day i bought my strings, then after that..

Bak at Tita Jinky's place ^^ ..

Nung Thursday, uncle dave picked me up.. i slept over at Tita Norie's.. i was paid $20 (ka-ching! XD ..) :> ..to babysit becca for a day cuz james was supposedly gonna go to a party (which was supposed to be from 8am till 11pm! hardcore ey? XD..) :P , scheduled Friday...

Ang nangyari, yung host nung party na un (friend ni James, Mark ang pangalan) got in trouble with his parents so nacancel ung party.. and on top of that, uncle dave was gonna be home too so i didn't have to go and babysit becca anymore :D.. Uncle Dave asked me if i wanted to go over at their place anyway.. so i said 'sure y not' .. ^^

So thursday night andun n aq.. friday, basically, nasa bahay lng nila aq.. time seemed to fly that day.. ilang beses aq nagulat na pagtingin ku sa tym, ilang oras na ang dumaan XD ^^

in the morning, i just fixed up my multiply, changed the template and stuff lyk that.. after that, i just did random stuf, lyk look up amplifiers, guitar strings, youtube, friendster, check my blog, gibson forums, etc.. :D .. tpos, it was about mga 1 or a little over 1, so kumain n aq..

after eating, i just started playing guitar and found myself just playing guitar the whole day till lyk mga 5 or 6 XD .. :)) .. nung bandang 6 na, me james and becca started playing on the wii.. so aun.. weee XD :P.. we played mario party 8..

then, we had dinner, (where after a little discussion, i decided to stay for another night ) :D .. then we played a little more, then, bak to kanya kanyang pwesto doing each other's stuf XD haha ^^.. i went bak to playing guitar, and doing other stuf on the computer.. i also skyped mom and dad and talked with them a little.. tpos i started checking out some youtube videos that they recommended me to check out..

so while checking these videos out (search chatreeo on youtube ^^ ;) ..) i stumbled upon a video of a guy named edgar cruz.. he plays solo guitar..

ding ding ding ding! *flash light above my head!* XD haha :P .. ngaun ku lang nalaman na SOLO GUITAR pala ung tawag sa mga ginagawa kong plucking versions ng mga kanta where i also play out the voice or the lyrics of the song, e.g. sa TULOG NA, FRIEND OF MINE, NO ORDINARY LOVE, and some church songs hehe.. un pala un XD

nyweiz this video of this edgar cruz guy was cool.. he made up a solo guitar piece for queen's bohemian rhapsody and crazy little thing called love XD .. actually it's kinda cool :> .. you guys should check it out..

so aun.. i tried out studying the bohemian rhapsody.. im still in the process but i can play some of it already :D ^^

slept around 1:30 XD , woke up around 9:30 tpos had breakfast and started studying the bohemian rhapsody solo guitar piece agen.. la nmn maxado nangyari in the morning till tita norie told us that we were gonna go out.. yay! XD ^^

we left the house around 1 and went bowling ^^ .. we played 3 games..

i won the first (hehe chamba XD ..) with 100 points which is my all time high score i believe XD
second game, uncle dave won with 108 .. i was 2nd with 98..
then, third game, tita norie super nanny won with 112! hehe ^^ .. i was 2nd with 98 agen XD

so today, 07/07/07, the 7th day of the 7th month of this year '07, i made my bowling all time high score XD

after bowling, at mga 4, we ate at a golden corral.. it's an american buffet place.. so aun.. i ate a lot XD ndi n nga aq nagdinner e XD haha ^^ ..

after that, we went to best buy, which guess what, IS NEXT TO THE GUITAR CENTER!!! SUPER YAY! XD .. so we went to best buy where i got to check out something for me to transfer pictures from my celphone to the computer.. i didn't exactly find what i was looking for, which was a USB cable for my N73 (thanks dad ^^ ..), but instead i found a bluetooth USB plug which you can plug into your computer allowing you to bluetooth your stuff into the pc.. it's 30 dollars so i didnt buy it XD ill eventually buy it though.. when i start working XD :> ^^

so after best buy... *drum roll please* XD .. we went to the guitar center!! weeee XD xenxa na.. hehe :D .. bringing me to the guitar center is like bringing a kid to a playground or an arcade XD so aun.. salivation here we come haha XD

i got to ask about the guitar im looking at (the Gibson SG Supreme Midnight Burst ) and the guy there said they didn't have any supremes there at the moment.. but umm, he was a nice guy and so he askd for my number and said he'll look into it and give me call if he can find one for me in town ^^

it's fun at the guitar center cuz u can just get any guitar on display, bring it to their amplifiers that are also on display and just plug em up and try em out without even having to ask for a sales person to do so ^^ .. so aun..

today.. 07/07/07, the 7th day of the 7th month of this year '07,i got to touch and play for the first time in my life, a Gibson SG ^^ ..

so aun, after looking around and trying the guitars there (.. :D ..) , i looked for some guitar strings for my Seagull.. sakto nga e cuz yesterday i looked up on it and checked out the site of J.D'Addario and looked up the set of strings i want for my guitar.. after researching, i chose the EXP17 Medium which is a phosphor bronze set of strings for $13.. (so for anyone out there who wants a real nice set of strings on their guitar, i recommend D'Adarrio to ya.. they're really great.. if u check out their site, there are so many artists, guitarists, and bands who use D'Adarrio strings.. it might be expensive but it's worth every penny and i know meron dyan sa pinas :> ;) ..)

so also today, 07/07/07, the 7th day of the 7th month of this year '07, i made my 1st American purchase ^^ ..

i used my own money for it.. :D

i asked them how much it is to service my guitar and have it restringed, they said it's $18.. so sabi ko, woah man! wag n lng! aq n lng gagawa! .. i mean, with $18, i can buy another set of strings! XD :D ^^

so after that, we went home na.. and gues what, i immediately sprang into action and started changing my strings! XD atat e noh? XD :D :P

so lastly for today XD , 07/07/07, the 7th day of the 7th month of this year '07, i changed the strings of my guitar on my own all by myself for the 1st time! XD :D ..

xenxa na kng medyo parang big deal for me.. i never did it for myself kc in the past e.. ive always had it serviced at where i bought the strings from.. :D

so un.. i think i did a pretty nice job ^^ .. i sure aint gonna pay 18 dollars for someone to do it for me! XD so next tym, aq na uli gagawa :> ;)

after that, tita jinky, picked me up lrdy and i went bak here to her place..

yesterday for the 4th of July, we watched a movie and ate out.. ^^

in the morning, i helped tito joel cut the grass.. i did the edging again like i did b4.. :D .. nauna na c tita jinky and c cole dun sa movie place (Tinseltown) .. they joined the Moore-Berlin family and watched Ratatouille :)

me and tito joel finished around 11:30, got ready, and catched the 12:45 showing of transformers.. :> .. nice movie man.. i wish i could see the making of it cuz i'm just stumped with how they did the effects in this movie.. it seems so not computer generated.. (although it maybe XD ..) .. it was cool.. bumblebee, optimus prime, jazz, megatron etc.. wicked B-) .. one thing's for sure, transformers love cars, and vehicles XD :P

after the movie, nauna na c tito joel cuz he had to go to work.. i went na with cla tita norie and we ate sa D&B (Dave & Busters) it's this restaurant na may malaking arcade.. so after eating, have fun and play ^^

in the end, we all got about 2262 tickets XD lufet :P

i got me some flip-flops, they got some cups and stuf...

after that, it was mga 7 na ng gabi so they brought me home..

nung gabi, there was some fireworks.. the end XD

that was my 4th of July.. :P XD

today, i myt go to tita norie's house to babysit becca till tomorow kc james has a party tomorow from 8am till 11 pm (solid! XD) .. but i heard frm him knna na ndi n ata tuloy ung party so im not sure if im still going..

Weekend @ Orlando ^^ XD

HOLY COW MAN! what a weekend! XD haha

nung friday, james, becca, tita norie and grandma went d2 sa bahay around 9:30 in the morning.. nag-hang out lng cla while tita jinky and tito joel had to take care of sum stuf..

so since la nmn maxado magawa, cuz james had to read a book for skul, i decided to visit GIBSON.COM .. instantly, I GOT HOOKED!!!! i started canvasing for my FUTURE ULTIMO SUPER BENGGA DENGGZ DREAM GUITAR! XD :D ..

as of now, i have seen and checked out EVERY SINGLE guitar sa gibson.com.. for others that stood out, i even checked out prices, and for a select few, i read some reviews.. also, i joined the gibson forums to get more feedback for the guitars im looking at... the LEAD CHOICE so far is the: GIBSON SG SUPREME MIDNIGHT BURST .. it's $2000 (ka-ching!) :-O XD .. i calculated that if i can get a job that pays at least minimum wage (6.67 i believe is min. wage ngaun d2), and work at least 4 hours everyday from mon-fri for 2-3 months, i'll have the money for it already.. i can't wait to start working para maka-save na ako!! .. sana nga, habang summer pa, maka-work na aq ng full time (8 hrs/day) para baka in one month pa lng, mabili ku na hehe

ANYWAYS, (.. XD ..) nung 1 pm, we left the house na for orlando.. we passed by a wendy's to get a bite to eat.. the drive was a round 2 and a half hours.. nag-laro lng kmi ni james ng cards to pass the time.. b4 we knew it, we were there na :> .. we got there mga 3:30, checked in, tpos went to UNIVERSAL CITY WALK, where we ate and watched a movie.. nanuod kmi ng EVAN ALMIGHTY which was really funny .. we were crackin up XD .. watch if u guys haven't yet ;) ..

by then, it was gabi na.. late na para mag miniature golf.. we decided na the next day n lng mag mini-golf..

me and james had our own room.. (YES! XD ..) ..so malamang, we ended up sleeping late XD hehe .. nkatulog n kmi ng mga 1, watching tv and playing cards.. i believe we saw CSI and the LEGEND of BAGGER VANCE, the GOLF movie.. hehe watta coincidence since we were gonna play golf the next day XD hehe.. la lng :P

we woke up around 7, got ready, had breakfast, went back to the hotel, then WALKED to sea world.. yes, u heard me.. WALKED XD .. sea world was just in front of the hotel we got.. konting lakad lng tpos andun k na.. hehe, iba kc tlga orlando e.. puro hotel tska mga theme park, restaurant, etc.. XD

BASICALLY, sea world is more of a show/attraction kind of theme park than other parks that are mostly RIDES.. d2 there was just 2 main rides, Journey to Atlantis, which is a wet coaster type of ride, and Kraken, which was the BIG roller coaster type ride.. the two main shows naman was the dolphin show and the killer whale show, where SHAMU, the killer whale (maybe u've heard of her/it XD..) is the star of the show..

obviously, we saw/rode ALL of these.. XD :> .. sa kraken, there's a line where u can be guaranteed a front row seat, so me and james went for it hehe..

nung bandang hapon around 3 or so, nauna na c tita jinky, tito joel, grandma, and c cole, sa hotel.. naiwan kmi ni james, becca, and tita norie.. in a nut shell, we just went to the carnival/arcade-ish game place where u can win prizes and stuff.. we were all given 20 dollars each to spend on games.. so we played...... XD

james won a prize at this fishing game thingy.. aq, la pa napanalunan XD haha XD .. umm maya2, there was this one game where they give u BUCKETS full of rings that u throw into bottles necks to win prizes.. puro mga 1.5 / 2 liter na glass na bote ung andun so super mahirap xa.. BUT, there was this one guy we witnessed winning the thing! .. he got a ring in the middle bottle which was a biigger bottle na gold.. guess what the prize was... a PSP!!!!!!!! dang! lucky guy XD .. tuloy, since we saw it was actually possible, we tried it out XD .. (suckers.. XD ..)

i tried it out with a 5-dollar bucket tpos james tried it out with his last 10 bucks para may libre nang stuf toy.. sa xa, may dalawa nang prize, aq la pa rin XD

so wen i had 7 bucks left, i used 5 bucks at a game na PLAY TILL U WIN haha! XD (pathetic much XD ..) .. so eventually, i won it and got a small prize.. i had two bucks left.. so para lng, maubos, i bought one shot at the basketball game (which i earlier tried 3 shots of but didn't even make 1 shot XD ..) .. so with one ball, i took the shot.. gues what.. IT WENT IN! haha lucky bastardo XD .. nag-bounce pa! it bounced straight up, and since what comes up, must always come down, it went down through the hoop XD .. so aun.. nagka-prize din aq na malaki XD so me and james each had a big prize and a small prize XD hehe ..

we went back to the hotel, aftr that, freshened up a bit, then went to the miniature golf.. me, tita jinky, tito joel, james, and becca played 18 holes.. my 1st nine holes sucked, i had 2 6's and one 4 which was pretty bad.. pero dun sa back nine, i made a comeback! puro 3 tska 2, par and birdie, and even one hole-in one! XD .. .. tita jinky also made a hole in one.. hehe

in the end, tito joel was first, i was 2nd (yay XD..) , tita jinky was 3rd, james was 4th, and becca was 5th...

aftr the golf, we went to a pizza hut for dinner.. hehe it was a nice pizza hut.. aftr that, bak to the hotel and then tulog na.. XD

the next day, we swam in the morning tpos around 10, umuwi na c tita jinky and tito joel and cole and grandma.. nauna na cla pabalik to jaxonvil... ang natira, aq, c james, c becca, and c tita norie.. we finished swimming by mga 11:30, ligo, tpos check out.. we went back to sea world (since our tickets allowed us to XD..) tpos we went to some other attractions.. i got to touch a dolphin and a sting ray XD .. tpos we ate lunch, rode the kraken again (this time sa back-most seat :> .. ) tpos the last thing we did was the sky tower observatory thingy.. aftr this, we went home na..

.... ... .. .. . ... ...... and that was my weekend XD ..

as promised, i took pictures throughout the whole thing.. in fact, i took a LOT of pictures,, XD :> .. i'll post it soon.. ;)

this week, la nmn ata maxado meron.. it's the 4th of july though on wednesday so im not sure pa kung anu ung plano.. other days ima just be chillin and taking care of watever it is i need to take care of.. ryt now, sasha, the dog of a friend of tita jinky and tito joel, is with us.. the owner and her family went to philadelphia for the week so naiwan c sasha with us... now im taking care of 2 dogs!! haha XD ..

i guess that's pretty much it.. xenxa super haba.. XD

Nung Monday, I went to my 10 o clock appointment at the driver's license office to get my written test para sa learner's license ku.. it's pretty much just the same as the learner's permits you can get there sa pinas but here they make it look cooler kc card xa.. hehe coool! XD

basically pumila lng kmi tpos i took the test and passed it.. they processed the card then tada!!! may learner's license na aq!! :) :D .. tito joel said he'll teach me driving next week.. so by next week ill drive FOR DA 1ST TYM EVER D2!! XD .. hehe it's nothing to be thrilled about pero wen u think about it lyk that edi nice dba? XD

aftr that we went to tita jinky's house (c tita norie, james, and becca and kasama ku btw) cuz i had to take care of some stuff for my student loan for UNF.. tpos we had lunch then went to UNF..

at UNF, i got my 1st shot para sa immunization ko cuz the results of my blood test turned out that i'm not fully immunized dhl "gray" (hi gray if u'r readng this XD :) ..) ung naging result for the measles.. in short.. i have to get the shots AGAIN.. so this was the 1st.. ima be taking the 2nd one in exactly 30 days..

aftr this, we went to the cashier at building 1 sa UNF.. i had to issue a check blah-di-blah-di-blah.. nothing really interesting.. haba pila XD ... then we went to UNF's One Stop Service thingy to ask about jobs sa UNF.. they referred us to the website (waw XD ) and told us to just check the job openings and to make my applications there... they also told us to go to the dept. of human resources and inquire there.. it was in some other building.. but b4 we went there, since they had some computers, we checkd out the website.. saw some job openings so aun.. nice :D ..

wen we went sa human resources, they just did the same thing.. they referred us to the website haha owel.. so much for that XD

aftr evrything sa UNF, umuwi n kmi.. hinatid aq d2 sa bahay.. tapos nung gabi, me and tita jinky skyped mom and dad.. they discussed stuff about my loans and the funding for my school.. malaki kc uutangin ku this 1st year dhl ndi pa aq considered a florida resident.... kumbaga, international pa aq XD

long story short i ended up with 4 options:

1. Go to JU where i'd have less loan for this 1st year (since private school to and they don't look at me as an "international student") PERO, i would have a hard time getting to school everyday kc mas malayo ang JU from d2 sa bahay ni tita jinky.. because i'm still UNDER-AGE, and since learner's license pa lng hawak ku, i can't drive alone to school so magcocommute aq which is OK lng nmn skn BUT there isn't a lot of public transportation here in jaxksonville kaya mahihirapan aq.. sabi daw if i miss my bus, it might take HOURS b4 d next one.. tops panu kng umulan pa? :-S .. woe is me.. :( XD

2. Don't school for a year until i become a florida resident and tuition wud be SUPER WAY LESS EXPENSIVE for me for my freshman year (just to let u knw, i am almost 5 TIMES more expensive dhl ndi p aq florida resident) , and so that i could work and save up some money, and so that i could already be driving by next year.. I and evry1 else is against the idea kc they're saying that i shouldn't fret over a couple of thousands of dollars in debt that i don't study for the 1st yr.. (woah ryt? XD) .. well i agree.. i don't wanna be IDLE study-wise for a whole year.. though i can work a full 40 hours per week kc may HS diploma aq, im still not for the idea of me stopping for a year..

3. the FCCJ option: this was suggested by tito joel.. he said that i can go to FCCJ (Florida Community College of Jacksonville) and go for their 2-year nursing course tapos pag nurse na aq, i can continue studying for med school IF i decide to do so.. well, i asked aunt grettel about it (she's tita jinky's friend who's staying here in d house) since she's a surgeon and all, and she didn't suggest it cuz she said that med schools look a lot at where u went for ur undergrad study.. she says that i myt not even get noticed by any med school if i were to come from such a skul as FCCJ.. community college kc e.. which means, it's not as gud as JU or UNF.. also, tita jinky spoke to the sister of tita maricel who went thru this path, and said that u still hav to take 2 years of general college ed. b4 the 2 year nursing course.. so pretty much, 4 year course din.. pero u get to be practicing and actually working alrdy aftr the 4th year ( i don't even knw if this is faster than other nursing courses or not..) so basically, this option is out of the question too..

4 The Last Option: is to just stcik with UNF and just deal with the loan.. this is something i can just work off in the future and this is nothing compared to the student loans i would be taking kung mag memed school aq.. it aint that bad i guess.. tska we're still w8ing/hoping/PRAYING for more scholarships so.. the lord will provide .. and lastly, i can still get more scholarships within the year to lessen the loan if i work hard enuf and/or if i get into some sport team or something XD

so aun.. obviously, i chose option 4.. so ill just stick with it :) ;)

for the next few days ill just be taking care of some job applications tpos on friday.. SEA WORLD BAYBEH!! XD :D
